Specialty tequila aged in wine casks. Certainly smells nice, floral aromas combined with agave and red wine. Similar flavor profile, but one dimensional and mild finish with a bit of unwanted heat for such a delicate flavor profile.

Compoveda Blanco Rosa Lot 1: Bottle 6018 Like their standard blanco, the rosa is a unique blanco that will surely find a following. The agave is overpowered by the floral and barrel characteristics. A lingering bitterness in the taste carries through to the finish. Compoveda is not my cup of tea.

Out of the bottle: floral, wow! Nose: agave on both the top and bottom of the glass, sides pick up slight sent of alcohol which I figure will dissipate with airing, great legs with an interesting combination of lengthy and clinging, slight oak that develops with time, pear, and lots of floral, berries Taste, gentle, soft alcohol and lots of agave, some pepper, a solidly different drink from the others in its family Finish: medium with a pepper and what tastes like raw agave Delicious!

Sweet musty, slightly earthy aromas & touch ABV. Sweet soft palate entry, not crisp, dried strawberries, subtle tartness. The finish is boring, slightly tannic & dry, & ABV comes back. Ice helps on finish.
