Tasted at thuans March 28 2024 After-taste like band aids- peaty scotch flavor overpowers the agave profile. perhaps scotch lovers would enjoy it, but it's not for me

For what it is, it shows well, peat/smokiness, short finish. Not as much cooked agave as I would like. Interesting bottling / scotch barrels

The scotch cask is really driving the bus here, it’s not a bad collaboration but I really don’t feel like the tequila is showing well.

The nose is pretty flat. The peat is a nice subtle treat. Sweet smokiness plays well with the agave. Unfortunately, the flavor disappears almost as soon as you drink it. It’s a fun bottle to have on hand but I doubt I’ll end up buying another.

Subtle peat from the scotch, accompanied by a gentle smokey aroma. Nothing to write home about flavour wise. The taste is clean, smooth and easy to drink. No real depth or complexity. Finish is smooth. Flavour is gone almost the moment after it's left the pallet. Certainly a nice Reposado, however, I've had much nicer for far less money.

If I was a scotch drinker I would probably love this tequila. It’s very smooth, but there is just too much smoky/peaty taste to this tequila for my taste. I’ve never been a huge scotch fan, but waned to see if I would like this double cask from Don Julio. My low rating is just because it doesn’t fit my taste profile

Double Cask edition , Lagavulin Scotch , very different, has a slightly unique nose , good agave flavor with big hints of black pepper and spice , finishes smooth but has a bite up front . It's Ok .
