Very thick, almost maple syrup like sweet. Don’t get me wrong, you may like this style. Not me. Wanted to like, but the sweetness over powered any agave flavors. Will have to revisit this again in the future.

Very sweet and smooth, with vanilla, leather, and oak.

This has too much wood for me. I can’t get any agave at all. Leather, oak and citrus aromas. Flavor is too sweet, almost like a coffee liqueur. If you handed this to me blind, I wouldn’t recognize it as tequila.

Tobacco, leather, nutty, pitted fruit nose, but very sweet and thin in the mouth with a nutty finish. More like amaretto than a tequila.

Overly sweet like other tequila made at this distillery. Nose of cherry, honey, light vanilla, caramel, sweet whiskey, light roasted nuts and light leather. The problem was in the taste. It was very sweet with an artificial or overly sweet aftertaste. Another tequila made at the same distillery, Reserve de Don Alberto (lot 1) is far superior, not as sweet, and much more pleasing.

Indulge in the decadent experience of this tequila, where rich vanilla and caramel notes take center stage, creating a symphony of flavors. Perfect for those seeking a luxurious after-dinner treat on special occasions—or even turning everyday moments into celebrations. While its steep price tag may deter frequent restocking, savoring it becomes akin to having a prized Macallan 18 waiting for that singular, cherished sip, to be shared with fellow tequila aficionados.

What a shame. Wonder how good this might have been without the overly sweet additive. I like the barrel flavor but it’s just too sweet and artificial.

An incredible treat for the tequila lover. A bit on the sweet side, which I love. Very nice aroma, rolls around the tongue hitting all areas to let you know it's there without over powering you. Velvety feel and an amazing finish. Truly one of my favorites. The price of $195 is the only drawback. Special occasions only.

Definitely can taste the additives. Super sweet vanilla and oak. Not a bad product but not what I’m looking for in an XA. Tastes very similar to Adictivo

Scent of bourbon barrel, way too sweet and fake tasting, don't think it's just the wine barrel aging

Out of the bottle: a remarkable after dinner sipping tequila, with air, the sweet flavor ends and the agave starts to show. While I’d enjoy this Añejo more without the sweet side, a periodic sip will be on the books! Nose: oaks, smoke, caramel, slight fruit, off the glass - agave Taste: oak, then agave, a bit of pepper on the back of the tongue Finish: pepper, caramel, lingering oak

It tastes a lot of sugar, a lot of added flavors, not natural flavors

On the nose: Bourbon, molasses, cinnamon, and honeycomb Tastes: Everything of "on the nose" only with an addition of slight black pepper to a sweet southern iced tea long finish. Amazing Tequila!

Compoveda XA Anjeo aroma and taste suffer from the addition of addatives. The rich and wonderful flavors will no doubt attract a following, but it feels very contrived and that really detracts in my rating.

Experiential. Complex and changes from start to finish. Peppery at end but not harsh.

Been wanting to try this for a year, but want sure if it would be worth the $200+. Caught a $25 sample from SipTequila and just tried it. Nose was amazing - leather, carmel, vanilla. Taste was sweet but not way artifical like Adictivo. Was very good but would only drink as a dessert tequila - very heavy & sweet,& I prefer the additive free greats instead.

Definitely sweet from the French Oak wine barrels, very smooth with little burn. Vanilla, spice, creme brûlée, cooked agave.

Heavy caramel bomb. Vanilla. Oak. Whiskey drinker delight. I wish it was a little less sweet. Consider more of a dessert like tequila. Very good. This is one of those bottles that non tequila drinkers would taste and like.
