On the nose, a combination of citrus zest and freshly cooked agave. A very clean aroma of minerality. Slightly sweet across the palate, very agave forward. The finish is a punch of vegetal agave and alcohol. Very clean and easy to drink, but not particularly noteworthy compared to other quality blanco tequilas.

Nose- Agave, bell pepper, mint, and some minerality hanging around. Taste- Cooked agave, honey, floral and herbal at times. Faint cinnamon spice. Mouth feel is full bodied Finish- Long and spicy! Overall this was a fabulous and fascinating tasting. The nose was different from the taste that was different from the finish but the whole thing was amazing!

Complicated but satisfying. Aroma full of brick oven and cooked agave mixed with rain water and minerals, rice, green mango and sage. Citrus, fruits, cloves and floral cent aggregated. Palate is agave forward, marzipan, lime, cloves, white pepper, basil and dill weed. Finish is medium spicy with cooked agave mix with sweetness like nutmeg and custard.

Aromas of cooked agave, pepper, citrus, and mint. The flavor is soft while the texture is oily with notes of sweet agave, light vanilla, white pepper, cinnamon, and more mint. The finish is long and spicy, and invites you back for more.

Nose: Ripe, high brix caramelized agave marries with spicy minerals to deliver a big welcoming aroma. There’s abundant light colored tree fruit notes, citrus & oranges, and a floral scent that pops in and out throughout the nosing experience. Flavor: Rich agave forward profile. Trailing slightly behind comes cinnamon, cloves, white pepper and hints of basil and dill weed. Silky and creamy in the mouth, but by no means timid or demure.

This is another great blanco from master distiller Felipe Camarena. This review is based not off of pedigree alone - we all know G4, Pasote, Terralta and Volans are amazing. With taking that out of the equation, this blanco packs a punch. It is very agave forward with floral, citrus and vegetal notes on the nose, indicative of a highlands tequila. The flavor is strong of steamed agave, black pepper, asparagus, sweet potato, spice, green apple and pear. It is really a very bold juice from 1579, and well done.

This is a blanco for agave lovers. I’m picking up agave, mint, citrus, pepper, and minerality. Sipping leaves your lips vibrating with a pleasant tingle that comes from the purest tequila. A fruity, peppery, mineral expression with a naturally oily long finish that doesn’t disappoint. In fact, it’s my wife’s favorite blanco!

Arte NOM 1579. The name says it all. Go look up NOM 1579. This is another wonderful expression of a blanco tequila from Felipe Camarena. This is a smooth sipper with an easy finish. Salud!

Lots and lots of green apple. On the nose and on the body. Knocked a few points off for price. Really soft and oily on the body which I liked. Not a huge fan of the specific moment when it transitions from tasting to the swallow.

Nose of cooked agave, mint and white pepper. Pearls and legs hang on the coated glass for a while. Enters clean, coats thinly. Moderate cooked agave and white pepper flavor. Dry on the palate. Finish is long, dry and peppery.

Quite soft initially and then blooms in the mouth to reveal quite a bit of fullness as in spice and agave flavors along with some custard notes as the finish develops and then fades. Tasted side x side x side with G4 and Pasote from the same distillery.

Aroma includes cooked agave and green grassy vegetable essence. I also get lime citrus and minerals. It’s a soft nose and not overpowering. Yet it is very inviting. Mouthfeel is silky smooth. Flavor profile is dominated by the sweetness of cooked agave and minerality with no bitterness. Warm without being hot. Finish lingers with warmth and cooked agave. The sweetness of the cooked agave rises on the finish which is delightful. This is among my favorite blanco.

Excited to own this one, from one of my absolute favorites NOMs & legend Camarena. Slight citrus & vanilla on the nose. Immediate, warm vanilla on the front end. Fantastic! Slight agave & citrus across the palate. More sweet citrus on the backend. Excellent value at $70USD. Buying a case tomorrow!

Tasted at El Pandillo Easter 2022. What a great tour! This one is interesting…for me all Pandillo cousins have certain similarities. But this ArteNom is very much like one of my favorites. Aroma, Taste and finish remind me of the original G4. The bottle is nice!

Overall this is a very high quality tequila. I just don’t think it’s very memorable. I think it’s the finish that throws me off. There’s almost no finish to this tequila which makes it difficult for me to appreciate as soon as I swallow it. I like to be able to saver a good finish to a tequila. I really don’t like writing bad reviews and I don’t want it to seem like I did not like this tequila. I will continue to drink this and enjoy it.

87.4 proof on the nose the star is the agave. upfront and bold, accompanied with a citrus zest and very mild lactic note. a bouquet of orange peel, basil, lavander, lavender, water and moist red clay scent. on the palate I get all that roasted agave on the tounge light pepper on the throat axplosion of citrus and dehydrated fruits. mangoes, apricot, prunes, cherries, pineapple, and the spices, like oregano, black pepper, Romero, anise, sage and roasted pumpkin seeds. the finish is very nice and full of minerals, nice and minty on the exhale very light chest heat and superb mouth cover. well done El Pandillo. truly recommend to all.

My first Arte Nom and 1579 didn’t disappoint. I love that flavor. The agave is clearly front and center and I get a little mint. The aroma is a little light and subtle but very appealing. The finish was soft with minimal heat….the finish was the only part that left me wanting a bit (just slightly). Excellent blanco.

ArteNOM 1579 is an affordable high quality sipper from Felipe Camarena. Nose: Soft, rounded nose of roasted agave, white pepper, mint with a light rain water minerality and mild earthiness. Taste: Oily and creamy, yet still soft. The white peppery warm is balanced with the roasted agave and mild earthiness. On the back end, hints basil and cardamom. Finish: Medium to long with agave and a persistent peppery warmth.
