NOM 1438 | Nicely balanced cooked agave with slight pepper notes. Well made Blanco from a contract distillery.

Initial hit of ethonal on the nose, but after about 10 minutes in the glass it cools off to reveal black pepper, red bell pepper, celery, and bakers yeast. The taste is cooked agave upfront followed by some earthy and herbaceous flavours. There is an unpleasant plastic taste in the finish that throws off an otherwise enjoyable, albeit unremarkable blanco. For $62 Cnd, it's not a bad tequila, but there are half a dozen others I'd buy before it.

First off I get a very slight ethanol nose following by cooked agave a bit of fresh cut grass, Hit of white pepper as well. Bitter sweet agave and liquorice. Nice clear long finish with gentle heat. Great in a craft cocktail. It’s a good deal in Canada at the new price.

Nice agave, sweet nose, creamy palate with cooked agave and white pepper, finish was short with spices. This was better than average blanco, but nothing stood out for me to buy again.

Kind of subtle sweet aroma. Flavor is Agave forward. Pepper. Slight citrus. Beginning finish was spicy, after a few sips it has almost become dull, but still smooth.

Re-rating based on more tasting experience. Spoiler alert. I decreased my evaluation. The aroma has an alcohol start with a hint of agave. The agave is hidden by the alcohol aroma. The flavor has some vegetal/grassy and the agave, while not strong, begins to show itself. There is a light oilyness to the mouthfeel and finish. Not bad but not great. It is accessible and fairly priced. Eventually you will move past these tequilas (unless this is your flavor profile). I also gave the Rose charm to my granddaughter.

Mellow aroma and smooth flavour. More complex than other blancos I’ve tried. Excellent!

Little to no nose flavor even after letting it breath at room temperature. Sweet yet grassy flavor with a thick feeling viscosity that spreads evenly a crossed the tongue ending in a low alcohol burn. Perfect for a premium mixer or cold supper with a pinch of lime.

Great taste bringing characteristics of highland and low lands of Jalisco, good taste and finish, if you enjoy blancos this is a must for your consideration.
