Nice bottle, but has bold (harsh) aromas of raw agave, kerosene, pear and green apples. Flavor was overpowering by pepper and earth. I really wanted to like this, but i can’t get past the solvent-y taste. Its like having Splenda or some artificial sweetener.

A gift from a house guest.... Nice ceramic bottle. Unfortunately more craftsmanship went into the vessel than the tequila itself.

Wow this smells sharply of petrol. I can imagine that would be very off-putting for a lot of people but I'll admit I don't mind the odor so I am not biased against it though it is a sign of not so great Tequila. Get past that odor and you smell quite a things. Let's begin with the less exciting ones: vanilla, oak and agave are all present. This is clearly a reposado. There's also a strong pineapple scent along with caramel and cinnamon but they do not smell natural. I would be shocked to find out this doesn't have any artificial additives. There's also the smell of orange peel and jasmine flowers. If it weren't for the petrol this wouldn't be half bad. The taste is where this Tequila really suffers. It just tastes like a very generic but drinkable reposado. Agave, oak, vanilla. Bizarrely there's also an earthy taste that's nowhere to be found on the nose! Somewhat strong taste of alcohol then cinnamon and caramel from the additives. I won't lie, the additives actually don't taste half bad and helps quell the alcohol taste. The finish is where the additives really help finish this on a smooth note giving way to black pepper. An extremely mediocre Tequila with additives given a nice make-over by the gorgeous bottle, at $35 for it I didn't feel ripped-off though if you don't care for the bottle don't even bother. I wouldn't buy this again but it's not the worst thing ever.

I was given this as a gift, for the decorative ceramic bottle featuring an iguana. The bottle was much nicer than the contents, unfortunately.... tequila is just "average"

Great Bottle. The ceramic Iguana looks great. We will keep the bottle as a decorative piece. The tequila is average, however.
