Very similar in profile to its older sibling Lote #1 Madera. Sour apple, pears. Lote 2 might have a little more pronounced pepper and mineral presence. Salinity, and caramel/butterscotch undertone. Lote #2 profile is a little more mellow, or polished than lote #1. And maybe it’s my imagination, but I think the small amount of fiber in the first lote added some depth of flavor not found in lote 2. Both lotes are Blue Ribbon.

April 2024 Bought at Macadoodles on recommendation from Lukas. He pulled out of the back for me. Around $74. Aroma is a sweet cooked agave. Possibly the best nose I’ve experienced on a blanco. Initial taste is sweet, which is no surprise after the incredible aroma. There is a mineral, earthy flavor, and as expected, a strong agave flavor. I detect notes of floral or light herbal as well. The finish is long and strong with the agave just lingering on the tongue. Overall this is one of the best blanco tequilas I’ve had.

Aroma: citrus, pine, and agave Taste: matches the aroma exactly along with some pepper and light heat Finish: short-medium, but extremely pleasant Overall: extremely tasty. Like nothing I’ve had thus far. Because of the initial aroma I was expecting some cinnamon and caramel but instead it’s basically a citrus bomb topped with agave and pine. Very unique.

2/28/24 Bottle 11,626 of 12,096 This is my 2nd bottle of a full case, grabbed it while I could with the generosity of Southern Spirits. Citrus & pepper on the nose, very light. Agave across the front with apple notes; more citrus, agave, almond & vanilla across the palate; slight burn along with more apple & pear on the backend. Super great deal at under $100!!!

Bottle #6964/12096 07/07/2023 Lote #L60002B45ME Really enjoyed this one! Agave, pepper, citrus, some green apple and a mint finish. The wood influence is nice. Grab one if you see it!

Nose: oak notes, cooked agave, alcohol, and pepper are very apparent. Followed by floral, mineral, vegetal, and anise. I’m getting grassy, earthy, mint scents. Fruity, citrus, lime, and slight vanilla. Palate: sweet cooked agave forward, light oak/vanilla flavors, alcohol is present, but not overly strong for the higher proof. Black Pepper, Mineral, vegetal, earthy, grassyness are bouncing around after the agave, fades out a bit. Finally tasting some mint and I think lime and some fruit. Finish: agave lingers and tastes so darn good, light oak is present. Earthy, grassy, pepper, and mint is still lingering. Couldn’t really tell it’s a high proof because it’s so clean! Great finish! Overall, one of the top blancos in the market! If you see it in the wild, buy it! Worth it! Bought in Colorado Springs for ~$67

Agave bomb from the start that transitions to citrus and then ends with some pepper. Minerals all the way in the nose and palate. Absolutely the best Blanco I've ever tasted. The only drawback is a slightly high price tag and limited availability.

Smells great. Definitely a little different from the regular G4s. There is some wood in there with more bitterness with a touch of sourness. Possibly getting a hint of pine. Doesn't drink like a 45% and the finish is long. Some ethanol comes through depending on how it's sipped. The bitterness is what lingers the most.

Tasted side by side with Lote 1. Lote 2: Big cooked agave jumps out of the glass. Earth, light pine on the nose. Taste follows with big agave, but wet earth, minerals, and a light floral pine note. I preferred this to Lote 1 but that's no knock on Lote 1. This just really hit the mark for me.

Agave is the star on the nose & pallet, cinnamon, herbs, minerals, floral, citrus, bright and delicious all around, finish is medium, very nice, not too soft or strong, perfect for my taste, one of my favorites, right there with Fortaleza lot 150/SS maybe better given the price point!

Nose: Rich cooked agave, black pepper, and some sweet fruitiness (almost like a green apple) Some minerality vegetal notes come through on the second inhale. Palate: HIT with agave and black pepper. Slight sweet fruit, with some salinity and minerality coming through. Has a really unique almost butterscotch undertone that’s quite pleasant. Finish: A little alcohol burn lingers with the sweeter tones, agave, green bell pepper, and finishes off with some really nice salinity.

Lot LB0002B45M, bottled on 07/07/2023, tasted on 10-6-23. Aroma: sweet cooked agave, quite herbaceous, aromatic herbs, minty, fresh, like the first lot, after 30 minutes in the glass an orange citrus aroma emerges, light anise, light pepper spiciness. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet sour & citrus balance. Finish is long, sweet cooked agave with citrus notes linger! Tasted again on 10-29-23: Agave notes are less herbaceous and sweeter, I feel it is more rounded and aromatic!
