Soft and subtle out of the gates, builds up a bit but never really hits the fireworks I was expecting. The roasted agave profile is absent for all but a fleeting moment, par for the course with an aged blend I suppose. 10/10 beautiful packaging from a company that never misses, it’s worth an add to your collection.

Pleasant nose without a ton of fakery. Balanced, fruit and caramel flavors. A little sweet for sure, and certainly gives off an additive vibe. However, if I had to pick between this, 1942, and Clase Azul I think I’d pick this. Will try it blind!

Color is super light, but has the aroma of something much darker. Vanilla and butter with some caramel. Flavor is simple, more vanilla, but somewhat flat. The finish is a slight bit rough and astringent. I know the bottle is tall and pretty, and I’m not exactly the target market for this, but I expected much more considering the pricetag.

Muted nose of light vanilla, oak, slight pitted fruit (peach?). Flavor is light agave and wood notes with a slight astringency (perhaps from the Hungarian oak). Not sweet at all, somewhat oily, with a short finish. Ordered it in a bar so the glassware is not ideal, but it doesn’t have a lot going on. Very light repo blend. At $40 a shot it’s aimed at nightclubs. Put it on ice and it will be a pretty neutral “smooth” drink. Nice that it is not a sugar bomb given the positioning.

Not a sugar bomb like Clase Azul, or 1942, but no real agave notes. A little bland for my palate. Just another pretty tall bottle

Not much nose, some light vanilla and a bit of agave. Some weird notes on the finish ruin this for me. Tasted at Jim Lannon's Blue Agave Cantina. Spend your money on something else.

I really wanted to like this one. The aroma started off very nicely. Plenty of tropical fruit, and a hint of roasted agave. Then I tasted it…ridiculously oversweet with none of those delicious tropical flavors from the aroma. It quickly turned bitter as the finish settled in.

My rating is spoiled - my spouse has said it keeps getting worse in his mouth. It’s tropical. Not a fan of repos. This one is a bit like pineapples. No thank you

great flavors, but a little rough and subtle for the cost

Well I guess I got a deal on this @ $25 but unfortunately not very good. I might be ok at half the price.

Oaky flavours more reminiscent of whisky. Closer to teremana in flavour, smooth with a slight hint of sweetness

Great buttery sweet nose vanilla, buttercream, hint of citrus / pineapple. Medium-thin mouthfeel. Agave, pepper, cinnamon, spice, caramel, dark chocolate. Very warm but smooth. Dry finish.

Tastes like bourbon with a little caramel on the finish

Great tequila. This is the only Patrón I’ll drink. The main drawback is that it’s too expensive.

I’d like to point out that the common flavor that appears in all Patron (excluding Roca) does not appear here. I believe that the common flavor in Patron is a byproduct of the cultivated yeast they use. Not impressed by the aroma but this is by far the most impressive release since Roca. Very expensive though.

Big French Oak nose for me. Peppery. Quick finish. Production was complicated, should be more complex than it is. Nice competitor in the category of Tall and Pretty bottles. Comparatively not super sweet or smooshy soft.

Not bad but I wouldn’t buy it or recommend it for that price. So many better options in the 200$ range
