A little pricey for a Reposado. Definitely better than their main line. Light cooked agave and wood influences. Finishes nicely.

Story: Tahona crushed and higher proofed line from Patron. Aroma: Sweet agave, a bit of melon. I’m getting honey, and then that melon note keeps coming back. A little bit of spice, cinnamon and maybe allspice. A little vanilla, almost like an afterthought, and something “green”, almost want to call it a vegetal note but that seems almost off. Definitely some ethanol, but it’s a relatively smooth ethanol. Palate: Agave and melon come straight through, and the vanilla is coming through significantly more than the nose would suggest. A light butterscotch, and some barrel spice. Surprisingly little heat for 42%, and it’s not as sweet as I expected from the nose. That honey and melon note lingers for me. Verdict: Very good, I’ll be keeping at least a half size of This around. I’m pleased with it, it’s soft and flavorful, traditionally made, and additive free. Definitely a clear step above standard Patron, and the price tag reflects that. It’s very tasty and at least worth a try at a tequila bar, or shelling out for a half size. Very curious to try the añejo next.

Nose: Not an assertive nose, but interesting. Light butterscotch aroma, faint candle wax, tame barrel spice and citrus. A hint of mint Flavors: Much more happening on the palate. Lively pepper and barrel spice, with some heat involved. Sweet agave kissed with butterscotch and dark Oaxacan coffee notes. A touch of bittersweet chocolate. Finish is abbreviated but pleasing.

A lot better thank the regular patron. Not to bad. Wouldn’t pay the money for it a lot of other great repos for lower cost Taste of vanilla, oak, slight citrus maybe from acidic fruit.

Follows the blanco in lock-step. No nose, great taste, but overpriced. Lovely flavor !!

Not too crazy about this one. Smell: I'm getting some agave followed by alcohol. Taste: cooked agave, peppery A little burn at the end. Is ok but not great

The nose was average- a touch of agave, pepper, oak. It was mellow on the pallet. More of the same but muted. Soft, short finish. Dissipated quickly. I bought this for $40 in Michigan but usually this retails for twice that price.

Buttery nose after a tough alcohol process smell. had to let it set for a bit. astringent taste, but fell away to reveal pepper, citrus and a little vanilla. the Continental mid town Philadelphia, pa $? champagne glass udon soup

A lot of sweet agave and honey on the nose, with floral notes. Weak entry for me, but comes on strong mid-palate, which is the best taste. The finish is a bit too astringent and bitter. If some of the sweetness from the nose appeared on the tongue this would be nice. As it is, I find that it lacks balance and complexity. Too expensive to buy or recommend.

This tequila was tasted out of a small snifter. I could pick up some smokiness (probably from the charring of the barrel). I also picked up some citrus in its flavor profile. Its higher proof leaves a nice, light burn on the palate. I bought this bottle on clearance, but its retail price is out of my range. Still, I'd recommend it just to try a 100% tahona milled tequila, as there are not that many out there.

A bit subtle and mellow on the nose, with agave and alcohol. Tastes better then it smells. Agave and slight green apple with a good bit of alcohol. Nice finish, would drink again.

Some spice sweetness, and agave on the nose. Pepper, spice, and some agave on the mouth. Spicy finish. Light on wood agave goes away.

Tasted blind. Very light on the nose as well as on the palate. It isn't unpleasant, but it doesn't taste much of anything either. So much so that it really isn't sensible to me trying fingerprinting it. It is as if it were over distilled or over filtered. If I consider the relationship between how unremarkable it is and how overpriced, I think I'm left with little to no doubt that this must be Roca Reposado.

This is another unique and very complex tequila. On the nose I get lots of peppermint and hints of clay and agave. The flavor is very minty and then finishes with almost a pineapple note. The finish lingers for a while but is fairly mild.

Rated blind after aeration. The nose is decent and the first pop of flavor is good, but a mineral undercurrent quickly appears and overpowers the flavor and finish. Unpleasant. The high pricetag delivers a double-whammy with a low value score.

Relatively light aroma. Primary note is floral/Rose with a bit of agave. Very smooth flavor with a strong cinnamon taste coming through after initial blank slate. This one seems overly distilled, filtered or purified. Not much in the way of taste at all. Short finish.

LOTE REPR 0020418 1899101, bottled in 2018. Color: just a tad of yellow. Aroma: cooked agave, light white pepper, earthy, slightly acidic, slightly citrus. Palate: slightly citrus, good sweet and sour balance, cooked agave, light vanilla, at the end a light soapy/floral aroma appears in the retronasal. Finish is medium to long, cooked agave with light vanilla sweetness persists.

The more I let this one breath, the more I liked it. Initially very faint aromas on nose bloomed into scents of cooked agave, oak and black pepper. Taste is smooth with less black pepper than I expected based on the nose. Smooth flavors of agave, oak, a touch of vanilla with light viscosity. Finishes is medium finish with oaky whiskey notes.
