Pepper, agave, cinnamon, vanilla, caramel. Solid repo overall. Gets a knock on the price but enjoyable.

viscosity was a little thick and oily for a Reposado. Good aromas, not over powering. Slight heat on the finish

Aroma : Vanilla and butterscotch. Small amount of oak. Taste : Agave, caramel, vanilla and butterscotch. There is some oak here as well. Light black pepper. This is a sweet Reposado profile, but it seems a little thin bodied. Finish : Medium length with more emphasis on oak and black pepper.

Tasted blind. This is a solid reposado. It’s almost too refined for me. Super easy sipper with no roughness around the edges. Notes of vanilla, oak and caramel come through. Well balanced, but a tad shallow. It’s an easy drinker and i can see why it appeals to the masses.

Caramel and nuts (maybe almonds), vanilla and agave with hints of wood on the nose. Oak, cinnamon, agave, spices, vanilla and caramel and more nuts on the flavor and finish. A good sipper alternative on a warm afternoon with a sweet and light pepper finish

TMM Reposado Blind Tasting

Great use of oak, I can still taste the same agave profile of the Blanco. Thin and gentle, I can see why this wins people over.

Comforting nose of butterscotch and almond. Then comes cinnamon, spices and vanilla. Agave still peaks through over light oak. Flavors more subdued than the nose, with some pepper and bitters.

From a blind test. Some yeast element like un or under cooked bread. Doesn't taste that way but dominates the aroma. Not as evident in a 2nd blind tasting I gave this the 3rd highest score of 6 reposado tequilas.

A lot of oak on the nose, despite the pale color. Agave still present, but dominated by oak. Decent entry, but finish is slightly bitter.

Beautiful gold presentation, robust oak agave aroma - strong but not over powering or heavy on burn. honey, smokey, black pepper sweet. nice buttery finish, melts smoothly away.

Not feeling it. S'all just ok. Big spice, tasting the agave and wood.

It's just so good. Even when it is number six on the night...

Easy to find & Dee....cent!

Subdued aroma with a nice combination of agave and fruity sweetness (apple, pear and pineapple with maybe a hint of coconut??). Nice flavor starting soft and sweet then following with minerality and spice. Medium finish that lingers nicely. A great improvement over the blanco (which is always interesting...). 8/23/2015

Nose: Overbearing smell of alcohol, Some hints of vanilla, Some hints of caramel, Some hints of oak, Some hints of smokiness Taste: Overbearing taste of vanilla and alcohol and slight taste of caramel Finish: Burning yet somehow smooth (Odd....) Notes: Overpriced and not worth the money, I'm interested in what it tasted like before Diageo bought Don Julio, Would not recommend to somebody starting in tequila (Edit: it also smelled like pepper and cinammon and some slight hints of agave (Very slightly))

Vanilla, agave, oak

Smoke, butter, caramel, oak, cinnamon. Happy with flavour but a little pricey.

A good Reposado. Notes of vanilla and oak. Nice finish.

Very vanilla forward and screams additives, I've drank this so many times but something has changed

nose baking spice, agave. palate is similar with flat flavors but I get a hot, acidic finish. thin mouthful, not that smooth. my rating was based upon msrp. was on sale for 45 at local store, that was good enough in a pinch.

The private cask repo. Surprisingly spicy oak taste. Very good sipper that throws me a bit off balance compared to the other Julio, as there is no obvious hint of additives. Definitely a nice wild card, but the price point is absurd and docks it quite a few points.

Aromas of lime, roasted agave, and grass. Flavors of cooked agave, cinnamon, and lime. Nice finish.

If this were a bottom or even middle shelf repo, it would deliver enough flavor and aroma to be considered a great bargain. But at top shelf prices, there isn't quite enough bang for your buck. Palatable and pleasant enough to sip, but there are far better options out there at similar or lower prices. A middling tequila marketed well.
