Black pepper, cooked agave, minerality, great complexity. One of the best!

Malolactic with cooked agave. Some pepper at the end.

A – Amazing aroma had me shuffling all around the aroma wheel. I could only imagine what some time in a barrel would do to this already complex, yet balanced, tequila. I’m getting tropical and citrus fruits, baking spice, wide floral ranges, earthy minerals, herbs, and the constant of baked potato and cooked agave. T – Similar to the aroma, it danced around quite a bit between the cooked agave, black pepper, buttery, olive, yeast, wet cement, and a strong cola flavor. This is delicious. F – The ending was as complex as the first two-thirds. I’m picking up a minty, copper combo briefly, before giving way to sweet almond, clove, and allspice. Nice heat on the way down. Overall – I’d drink this every day; can’t wait to find out what it is and hope I have plenty in my collection.

From blind tasting: On the nose I get an earthy and citrusy tone with some floral notes. The taste matches the nose, with some cooked agave, mint and pepper in there on the finish.

Blind: Aroma: stone, fresh cut grass. Definitely a malolactic smell to this, but much subtler than Atanasio. I like this aroma Taste: mellows out drastically from the nose. Soft minerality, a subtle Cheesiness (the perfect amount), stone, red fruit. A lot going on but all subtle Oily mouthfeel. Feels like a layer hangs around in your mouth Finish: soft. Medium length. Like im nibbling a cheese board. Yum This is a tequila i would love to have in my shelf for when i was craving a malolactic taste. I wouldnt reach for it all the time, but it would always treat me well when i did Aroma: i like the nose. Cooked agave, vanilla, minerals Taste: not near as good as the nose. The agave is present and i pick up minerality Mouth / finish: hard to describe but a light finish in which i can feel the buzz of the alcohol sitting there. “High pitched”. It disipates quickly but leaves a buzzing which i like I like this tequila but wouldnt rave about it

On the palate, atomic agave bomb, it almost overwhelms everything else in the best way possible. Some fruity and citrusy notes, and you can smell the minerals. It’s earthy, and very robust. Some kind of herb that I can’t quite place my finger on. Almost like basil. Tastes Sweet, crisp and clean agave goodness. Definitely getting the minerals and citrus. Very mineral heavy and earthy. I can clearly see how this becomes the añejo. Very good, excellent. A top 10 blanco for me easy.

Had the Mexican version side by side with the American release, and I have to say the Mexican was better. Same ABV, different bottle shape. American: Agave on the nose, with flavors of agave, pepper, and some celery on the back end. It has a light peppery short finish. Tasted at the distillery and this is growing on me. Solid blanco!

This is for the liter version available only in Mexico. Although one of the most pirated spirit in Mexico if you can find a true liter bottle. The punch in the face of vegetal and agave notes is inspiring. All time favorite go to tequila

Nose is a little reluctant, but it’s a beautiful combo of white pepper, raw agave, and lemongrass. Attack is a bit hot, with a ton of lemongrass, pepper, and wet cement. Not savory in the least. Super long finish. I can see this not being everyone’s cup of tea, but I love it!

Aroma: Sweet cooked agave and citrus. Taste: Clean on the pallet with light lime citrus, very clean and smooth. Finish: Cooked agave with a strong pepper and slightly grassy finish, with some lime. Long lasting finish. Update from a blind test: Aroma: Harder to discern, a very light citrus and cooked agave, earthy aroma, wet and herbal, mainly basil. Taste: Pleasant and silky mouthfeel, as well as cooked agave and herbs. Finish: Vegetal forward, black pepper, cooked agave, and somewhat bitter

Very good blonco. Strong agave, pepper, vegetable, and mineral smell. Nice cooked agave up front on the taste paired with vegetable like green pepper and a nice mild peppery finish. I like it

Amongst my favorite blancos, very agave forward. Just a no nonsense brand producing tequila the right way. Very earthy and vegetal, lots of cooked agave on the nose and on every sip. Easily a top 5 blanco in my humble opinion. Can be had for very cheap in Mexico, a 1-Liter bottle will set you back about $22. Even at $40 in the states, it’s one of the best you can buy in that price range and in general.

One of my favorites. Really great nose. Sweet and citrusy for me. Taste is really bold and peppery. It’s got a spice to it. Not rough but definitely let’s you know your drinking tequila. Tons of flavor throughout and a staple in the collection for sure.

Aroma : Cooked agave, citrus, earth, grass, and vegetal notes are all very clean and crisp here. Taste : The cooked agave, earth, grass, and vegetal notes from the aroma translate to a creamy, oily texture in the mouth. There is also a light amount of black pepper spice. Finish : Long lasting with more sweet agave and black pepper.

A good bench mark for Blanco, cooked agave, citrus, floral, isn’t that what we want in a blanco and expect. Good value

The nose is filled with sweet cooked agave, a natural sugary aroma, minerals, earthy and herbal with a touch of cinnamon. Some light smoke, pepper, spice, fragrant with some anise and mint and a very small touch of vanilla. Some fruit, citrus and grassy. The nose has a lot going on, and it's all good. The taste is sweet cooked agave, natural sugar, a touch of vanilla, earthy and herbal, spice, pepper, mint, anise, and minerals. Silky smooth and buttery with a slight bite, fruity with zesty . A delightful taste. The finish is upfront heat that dissipates, cooked agave, sugary, spice, minerals, mint, and anise, finishing with a long citrusy zest and fruity finish.

Cute little bottle with engraved field of agave plants around the bottom half. The name 7 siete leguas comes after the horse Pancho Villa rode. First aroma is mellow not strong with mix of vanilla, caramel, mint, agave, minerals, lime, salt. The body is silky and oily with long legs on glass. The taste is peppery, vanilla, minerals, butter and citrus with spices. The finish lingers without no bite, add spice and pepper with caramel, butter, vanilla and a mellow taste. Excellent sipper. A top shelf blanco next to that long white/blue artesanal bottle. It grows on you and has become one of my favorite sipper. Love it ! NOM 1120

This is exactly what I hope every tequila tastes like, all agave without bite or foreign influences. I can’t get over how restrained this is, I’m a believer in 38% tequila! I am going to cherish this bottle for years, I swear they changed the recipe and it will never be this good again.

Nose: Ripe agave, fruitiness, earth & minerals, with spiciness. Some grassy and herbal nuances, green olives, and dill. Citrus, pear and a trace lactic note. Flavor: Big ripe, fruity, near caramelized agave. Creamy and has a spice “zing” of white pepper and cinnamon. It rests in the mouth pleasurably. Finish: Balanced pepper, spice notes in addition to the rich agave sweetness makes for a top notch blanco. As a footnote: This tequila is a very versatile accompaniment to meals.
