Aroma is very sweet with fruit (pineapple?) and butterscotch. Flavor opens with a distinct sweetness but quickly moves to a spicy heat. A tannic dryness shows up at the end. Finish is medium length. 2023-12-24 2023 Annual Christmas Eve XA Tasting
Aroma of vanilla and spice. Sweet heat in flavor with a bit of bourbon flavor. Slightly spicy finish with moderate length. 12/17/2023
Cinnamon and some clove in the aroma with a bit of caramel. Flavor begins with peppery heat, shifts to a slight sweetness and fruit then finishes with a little heat. Finish is short to medium. I liked the reposado quite a bit better than the blanco. Still, nothing special here. 12/17/2023
NOM 1584 Primary aroma note is cinnamon/baking spice but with a distinct undertone of rubber. Maybe a hint of cooked agave but faint at best. Black pepper spice opens the flavor with next to nothing else. Fairly thin and one note. Very short finish. 12/17/2023
