NOM #1531 Triple distilled. 35% ABV Nose: Muted aromas. Light vanilla, trace mineral presence, a hint of dill and a faint bitter almond note. Flavor: Attack has far more punch than the nose. Oily sweet vanilla, hot pepper, cloves and cinnamon, with an undercurrent of nuttiness. Finish, like the aromas and flavor are pretty one dimensional. There is an annoying sweet element that lingers...
Very earthy smell. Had it with a slice of lemon with salt. Swirled in mouth. Very smooth. Small after burn.
NOM #1531 Nose: Aromas take a while to develop. Fruit, trace agave and vanilla first present. Next the spices open up: cloves, allspice and cinnamon. Then some earthiness and wet river rock transition in. Flavors: Viscous mouth feel. There are some nutty hazelnut flavors that are wrapped in an oily sweetness. Some undercurrents of barrel spices and light pepper attempt to make their presence known. Overall, to me, far to sweet - and an odd sweetness at that.
