Nose: Cinnamon, Oak, Cherry, Almond, Vanilla, Raisin, Agave Mouthfeel: light-bodied Palate: Carmel, Citrus, Clove, Nutmeg Finish: Vanilla, Cinnamon, Clove, Oak I received this sample from a friend who recommended it. I'm picking up a lot of baking spices, nutty, and sweet aromas. I'm drinking this in the fall, seeing leaves on the ground and seeing smoke coming out of chimneys on a chilly day and to be honest, it feels that that's how this gem is intended to be enjoyed.
very enjoyable, easy sipper
Love this expression from GD delicious, sweet caramel and cooked agave, nots of light vanilla and spice. But the agave shines in this aged tequila.
Lime citrus aromas are complimented by black pepper, light anise, an array of herbal notes, some agave sweetness, leafy mint, and a pleasant minerality throughout. The flavor consists primarily of a vegetal sweetness coupled with a similar profile to the aroma, with the anise coming through a bit stronger on the palate than the nose. On the finish, a consistent and lasting mix of citrus and anise flavors, as well as black pepper.
On the nose it presents an intriguing blend of earthy, damp clay funk, can’t quite fully describe it. Some light vanilla and oak sweetness also comes through on the aroma, overall a bit different but quite interesting. On the palate it takes on quite a different flavor, has a certain lactic funk to it. Earthy, herbal, and spiced, and also very similar to the ArteNOM 1414. The finish leaves a lingering sweet earthiness with that same funk and some vanilla.

A truly good blanco is hard to find. You can’t use the aging process to cover up any unpleasantness, and the agave has to shine. Shine it does is this bright, rich, agave experience! That’s why Gran Dovejo Blanco has a permanent spot in our home bar.
