Nose: sweet cooked agave, cinnamon, caramel, some barrel spice, and light oak flavor Flavor: cooked agave, cinnamon, vanilla, ripe fruit, light spice, and a creamy mouth feel Finish: medium to long with oak flavor, some sweetness, and light spice Pair’s well with grilled pork tenderloin
Blind tasted: Subtle oak, jamoncillo, caramel, vanilla, barrel spice, spices, low to medium complexity, cooked agave is present
Oak, agave, cinnamon, honey, leather, fruit, vanilla. Approachable, but a tad sweet for me.
This is a good ankle. Loads of agave up front with a nice cinnamon and baking spice notes, with some oak little vanilla, a good bit of pitted fruit like plum and nice peppery finish that stays on the tongue for a medium finish.
