My girlfriend wanted a cheap tequila for her Tequila Sunrises, I could have bought her an $8 bottle of Sauza but I wanted a decent tequila. I found this on an end display at a Liquor Barn, I would have been better off buying a bottle of Jose Cuervo Tradicional but it’s no disaster because she can’t tell the difference! The NOM # is 1360 and I didn’t recognize any major tequilas being produced there but Cabo Waco once was! It’s an okay tequila but a little over priced for what it is and for that I would not recommend it. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!!
los portales Chino, CA $4.50 wide mouth glass no food 18 Feb 17 skeptical when I heard it was the house tequila and saw the price, but a decent tequila, and a solid mixer the aroma came off nutty; unusual to say the least. not bad, just different no hard spice or alcohol burn, which I expected. agave and cinnamon up front followed by citrus. the following finish is long, but not aggressive. pepper smoothly flows and ends quickly I'm not buying this to impress friends, but im not saying no if I'm offered it.
