Definitely a mixer…
Nose: some cooked agave, oak, baking spices, floral, and sweetness Flavor: agave, oak, vanilla, cinnamon, very light mouth feel, and a little bitterness Finish: short, and lots of black pepper
Cookie cutter product from NOM 1438 is my initial thought. 135 brands produced there now, about 10% of all active brands. Most of these are not huge, big or even large or medium brands as the megalith producers still crank out 90% of production volume. Nose is pretty neutral, some green agave and pepper. Sipping shows this to be very mild in the mouth with a light natural mouthfeel and roast agave sweetness. Not a lot of depth but nothing even remotely negative. Vegetal bitterness but it is a part of the whole. Finish is short but leaves some lingering vegetable aftertaste as well as an ethanol buzz, tip of tongue. If I were away somewhere for the weekend and only found this to drink, it would be OK. The LosSundays dot com website says sustainably farmed so maybe some brands are seeing light?
