This tequila is for some connoisseur, but not for every day foe. It is spicy and a wood flavor juice. Aroma: oak wood, cedar wood, earth, black pepper, agave. Palate: smoke wood, spices, cloves, oak wood, cooked agave, black pepper, herbs. Finish is strong and long, with wood accents, mix with earth, agave, pepper, and spices.
Some softness from the 3X distillation makes for easy entry. This blooms nicely in the mouth after sipping. This has more of what the reposado offers with more intense barrel effect from longer aging. Nice example of triple distillation.
A little soft though quite flavorful as it finishes with some alcohol providing a nice mouth buzz. Agave, oak and some nice spice of vanilla, caramel and hints of nutmeg.
Frosted glass bottle from around 10 years ago. Still vibrant even being open for some time. Aromas of agave and fennel present and this has a nice viscosity in the mouth. Slight bitterness as the fennel loses focus on the finish hold this back a bit. Solid stuff.
