NOM 1112-I, doesn’t state clase but is totally transparent so it should be blanco, "destilado en Tequila, Jalisco en su fábrica La Jalisciense. Tequila Virreyes S.A." 1000ml., 40° G.L., red plastic twist cap, looks like an 80’s bottling, tasted on 2-2-24. Aroma: raw agave, light anise, hint of agave sweetness, hint of earthiness, minerality, light acidity. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, through my retronasal I can smell a sensation of stagnant water that does go away. Finish is medium to medium long, raw agave, hint of anise with mineral notes and a hint of acidity persists.
Mexican 35% abv. version, lote: TQDR 26/23, bottled on 18-02-2023, tasted on 10-25-23. Color: very light yellow. Aroma: light cooked agave, light sweetness of cooked agave, slightly earthy, a touch of vanilla, a touch of citrus, I feel that aromas are natural but very subtle. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet sour and citrus balance, but subtle. Finish is short, very subtle sweet cooked agave persist for a short time, but ends slightly bitter.
