Siempre is usually a brand I love. This offering is ok but I can tell it isn’t 1414 good. Nose nose is cooked agave and very earthy. Taste is sweet agave, alcohol and earth.

Light agave, pepper, some smoke, interesting expression, not as bright/agave fwd as 1414 to me but still nice sipper

Nose: Ethanol on first nose / sweet and cooked agave scents / earthy / butter / very light fruit notes Taste: alcohol/ sweet and cooked agave / black pepper/ apple / lemongrass / earth Finish: crisp and clean - stays on the tongue / salt and citrus after taste Value: this tastes like a lower budget high proof that is good but may not be able to provide flavor over alcohol taste. This expression of Siempre is from a different NOM than the distillery currently used by Siempre. The newer NOM’ s taste may be a lot more preferable to many palates.

On the nose a herbal and salinity Taste- nice cooked agave up front. Lots of salinity, nice citrus and some herbal, and nice black pepper on the backend.

Ok. Lots of good reviews here. But I can’t get past the Mi Campo Aroma profile. Ok mi campo on steroids I guess. Cofradía funk for sure on the aroma and then high proof alcohol. Taste is good. Agave and some sweetness and a dash of black pepper. Not complex. Finish is good (especially for 1137 La cofradía.

High proof characteristics show up immediately in the aroma - alcohol, slight petroleum note, and fresh, clean agave. Flavor shows a papery heat immediately but it is not an inferno of high-proof fire. Actually, the heat is tempered by a bit of sweet agave and the flavor lingers through a long finish. 07-05-2023

Brine and salt with dinner anise. May not be fair everyone but a solid high proof sipper.

Sept 27, 2023 revisited and bumped up my rating by 1 pt NOM 1137 barrel 3/ bottle 205/ 47% Nose: brine, heat, a little agave Palate: I enjoy the palate better than the nose - anise, salt, agave. Finish is a little bitter Siempre Supremo tasted blind in pepe's tahona blind 2/25/23 Note: these samples were 1/2 oz so it was a bit challenging to get the full essence. I let it sit about 30 mins to open. Some funk and heat on nose. A lot of heat! I could tell this was a high proof. Taste briney pickle bitter finish heat back of throat that lingers, not a lot of agave coming thru after letting this sit over 30 mins! In all fairness, I would like to try this again with a larger pour to get a more accurate rating. TMM 79

Aroma: Agave bomb, mineral, earthy, and caramelized sweetness, citrus potency, and white pepper. The aroma personality on this one is very complex and alcohol intensity is minimal. Taste: Heavy cooked agave that just coats your mouth instantly with a buttery texture while showcasing a crisp framework. The heat you will receive from this blanco is with a punch of flavor with notes of jalapeño, celery, bell pepper, anise and black pepper. The finish will have some astringency and aftertaste is very rich and leaves a harmonious lingering agave flavor with sweet baking spices.

This one is wild. N- baked agave, nutmeg, baking spices, brine, wet soil, very floral T- Caramelized agave, cinnamon, anise, pepper, nutmeg, faint alcohol M- medium bodied F- long cinnamon finish V- this was a free sample but based on the Michigan minimum pricing it's a bit on the expensive side. It is super unique though and if I was blindfolded I would have sworn it was a Reposado

This is an impressive new traditional project from Siempre that high proof lovers will enjoy. Nose: bright agave, fruit, minerals, whiff of hay, nice and clean with no overpowering alcohol you might fear from a 110 proof Blanco. Taste: sweet agave, salt water, jalapeño, long finish. I favor the fruity nose a tad more than the salty spicy flavor, but both are excellent. This was first taste, so I’m looking forward to returning for more and refining. Good stuff.

Aroma is agave and anise with a grass earthiness. Palate- cooked agave- alcohol- earth vegetal and other goodness I cannot identify- it’s good. Finish is agave light burn with anise earthiness. I am going to update my rating on this one because it seems to get better and better over time. The aroma is filled with minerality, celery, pepper, earth/wet grass, and some beach air saltiness. The palate is delicious with a slight alcohol heaviness that the wet agave takes over mid-taste. It has a funkiness that I actually enjoy with hints of vegetal and citrus orange peel silkiness in my mouth. Finish is very nice with agave and wet minerality and anise that last longer now that it has aired out some. Siempre- well done. It only gets better as time goes with additional tastings.

Supremo and it shows. Nose: Loads of fresh agave, with a little blend of white pepper, fresh fruit, and anise(?) Taste: A big punch of cooked agave, with a pleasant mouthfeel (coats your mouth). Followed up by notes of pepper, alcohol, citrus, and a little bit of salt/mineral Finish: Definitely a crisp finish, with some alcohol heat, meshing with Cooked agave and bits of lemon(?)/citrus.

This is a salty one. To get it out of the way, I love Cofrida funk, so this was up my alley. Lots of agave Briney, earthy, minerally with undertones of Meyer lemon, mint, and white pepper.

A little funky on the nose. Not a fan of the nose at all. Dusty, earth, alcohol and an off-putting lactic-funk that reminds me of a musty cellar. Crystal clear in the glass. Creamy mouthfeel. Sweet cooked agave, fig, fruit-cake, baking spices, pepper and cinnamon - nice smooth warmth through a long and oily finish. Definitely finishes stronger than it starts…

Bottle: L-B25012212, Bottle No. 1014/4626 Appearance: Clear Nose: Cooked agave, minerality, petrichor, wet earth, wet cement, citrus, tart blood orange, papaya, lime, flowers, brine/salinity, white and black pepper, raw mushroom, metallic, very slight alcohol, yeast/dough, and cedar…really funky, in a good way Palate: Cooked and raw agave, brine/salinity, minerality, dry earth, jalapeño, black pepper, alcohol, cinnamon, nutmeg, celery, butter, green pepper, raw mushroom, dough/yeast, metallic, olive, anise, and lemon…salty, spicy, and still funky Finish: Medium long and warming…an encore of salt, spice, and funk Overall: The nose was gentle, but then the experience transitioned into really funky and spicy at the palate and finished with an accidental-mouthful-of-ocean-water saltiness that was almost effervescent. The flavors are incredibly balanced with the high proof and there were moments I completely forgot this was 55%. Although I really enjoy this tequila, I can see the funkiness not being something everyone would appreciate.

Agave, some brine and some pepper all come together in this high proof effort. There is also a touch of fruit and an even smaller hint of anise. This is smooth and enjoyable.
