This is a clear golden color in the glass and the nose is musty fruit perhaps a wine barrel influence. Mellow entry with some slight bitterness and ethanol spike. This is very reactive in the mouth with tongue, cheeks, and lips all excited to take part. This gives a good tug on the throat on the way down as a proper tequila should.

Nose: vanilla/caramel / chocolate/ wine note Taste: wine/sherry dominates everything/ grapes/ chocolate Finish: the finish is harsh / the sherry finish lingers and dominates The sherry treatment on this anejo is too much. Would not recommend.

only had a small sample of this once at my local liquor store. I can see how some would like it but it had a bit more oak and sherry than I prefer. I would like to revisit at some point and let it open up a bit more to see if some of the other flavors come thru

The Sherry cask comes through on the nose immediately, little to no agave and slightly sweet. Almost a hint of whiskey on the palette. Light pepper and vegetal agave flavors. Finishes with a low lingering pepper & fresh agave.

This has a sweet complex flavor profile. Oak honey whiskey in the flavor makes it stand out. The aroma is very pleasing. A significant improvement over regular offerings from patron.

2020 version. 14294 POM. $69.99+tax in Michigan. Appearance- beautiful darker golden honey. Long legs on my glass Nose- Cooked agave, loads of oak, clove, faint nuttiness, burnt sugar Palate- Carmelized agave, more oak and vanilla, baking spice, and peanut brittle Finish- Long lasting finish with some lingering alcohol heat that fades into honey Value- Great value considering the age (2 years), the name (Patron), the quantity (limited production), and the quality (no additives, special barreling)

Might be the best XA I’ve ever had.....loads of agave still present and all the qualities you want from the oak. This is perfectly balanced, that’s all we mortals can ask for.

Sherry, oak, deep cooked agave notes and rich body. Simple but good if you're lucky looking for that profile.

Available only in Duty Free stores. Wonderful aroma. Really super nice, to the point where i can't stop smelling it. Baking spice, nuts, vanilla. At $89 this is a killer value.

The sherry flavor comes through strong, I didn’t mind it at all. Very bold with a small burn at the end. Not something I want all the time, good for showing off.

Easily my favorite Patron expression that I’ve had. More complex than their regular anejo. Great blend of oak, cooked agave, butterscotch, caramel, vanilla, barrel spice, with some nice whiskey and black pepper. It has a great finish. I wish Patron would make more products like this one. Definitely worth trying even if you are not a fan of their regular tequila.

This sherry cask aged anejo opens with an equal scent of cooked agave and barrel spice whisky. There is also a hint of honey on the nose. When tasted, the agave is present along with a nutty oak flavor followed by bourbon and honey undertones. I feel that tequila traditionalist will focus on the sherry/bourbon profile. Personally, I prefer using the sherry barrel aging to influence the taste as opposed to additives.

Aroma: oak, sherry and bourbon notes, caramel, licorice, cooked pineapple, plumbs. Taste: cooked agave, sherry, oak/woody, hint of salinity. A very similar taste profile to Angels Envy bourbon...
