Tasted at Sip Tequila Fest El Pandillo certainly has a trademark style. Cooked agave being the driving note along with the patented minerality El Pandillo is known for.

Nose: Strong pure and clean nose. The herbal elements shine clear at first. Caramelized agave then breaks through the herbs. A nice buttery feel. Floral with a nice lavender and rose presence. Reminds me a lot of the artenom anejo. Palate: Medium body and mouth feel. Slight numbing of my tongue. Crisp clean agave with subtle white pepper coming through. Herbal sweetness shows up in the mid palate. Heavier pepper and spice linger in the back. Finish: Lengthy finish with lots of pepper. Mild alcohol burn. Make sure to let this pour breath to get the most out of it

Nose: agave / earth/ mineral/ alcohol / pepper/ hint of lime / lemongrass / hay Taste: sweet agave cooked / vanilla / pepper/ earth / pineapple/ grapefruit/ licorice/ spearmint/ orange peel / Finish: very low viscosity mouthfeel that’s clean and crisp but still has a rainwater taste along with the sweet agave and pepper notes associated with other NOM 1579 expressions. The lingering sweet and pepper notes hold on for a short time when a nice minty finish occurs. This blanco has a very nice subtle and smooth taste profile. Nothing specifically bold except the pepper notes and the contrasting agave and bittersweet licorice against that pepper; all the other flavors and aromas are subtle. I prefer tequilas that are more bold, but this is a nice easy sipper that would work as a mixer where you wanted the tequila flavors to not overpower the drink.

Earthy nose with cooked agave. Lots of minerals on the nose with vegetal notes. Slight olive smell. On the tongue, the flavors are lightly muted get agave and vegetal with earthiness and minerals like on the nose. The mouthfeel is very nice and it finishes well but not bold enough. This is my first crack and we will see where it goes from here. This does get better after a few pours. Flavors are more bold. More floral and more 1599 character. Bumped this a couple points 9/27/24

Aroma of cooked agave, minerals, grass and a touch of mint. Nice flavor of cooked agave, black pepper spiciness, citrus, minerals and herbal. The finish tingle was long and pleasant. I would still go with G4 blanco's lower price.

On the nose, the agave is hidden behind an explosion of citrus and floral notes. Pepper, herbs, and citrus keeps popping up. On the palate, delicious sweet citrus and agave. That floral note is very present. So much citrus, a little bit of minerality, but agave and citrus are the stars of the show. Excellent tequila. Very good offering from 1579. I bought a 375ml but I’ll commit to a full size soon, very very good stuff.

My third bottle: The aroma is defined by the presence of cooked agave and minerality, accompanied by subtle hints of light citrus and pineapple. A freshness pervades, with delicate notes of light ethyl and alcohol intertwining to create a simple yet direct olfactory experience. Upon tasting, subtle flavors emerge, including indefinite light pepperiness, nuttiness, and the unmistakable essence of agave. A delightful note of sweet potato adds depth, complemented by nuances of honey and light brine, with a subtle undertone of green herbaceousness that enhances the overall palate profile without overpowering it. The finale is characterized by light honey and minerality, lingering alongside the enduring presence of agave. A reoccurring freshness emerges, nearly activating salivation in the mouth, while a dry texture, likely attributed to a slightly higher proof, adds complexity to the overall tasting experience.

Artenom 1579 tasted 7-9-2022 NOM 1579 lote LA0010B updated 10/8/22... nose is better than 1st time. Raw agave minerality grassy More complex -------------------------------------- NOTES: bottle just opened. poured and let breathe for about 20-30 min. I didn't make notes re the finish. I plan to taste this again within a few weeks to see if it's opened up at all. TASTE: agave vegetal grass white pepper Ranked this expression #6 of the six 1579 blancos I tasted tonight and it's more expensive than G4 Pasote and Terralta, which I like better.

Tasted at El Pandillo Easter 2022. What a great tour! This one is interesting…for me all Pandillo cousins have certain similarities. But this ArteNom is very much like one of my favorites. Aroma, Taste and finish remind me of the original G4. The bottle is nice!

On the nose, a combination of citrus zest and freshly cooked agave. A very clean aroma of minerality. Slightly sweet across the palate, very agave forward. The finish is a punch of vegetal agave and alcohol. Very clean and easy to drink, but not particularly noteworthy compared to other quality blanco tequilas.

Nose- Agave, bell pepper, mint, and some minerality hanging around. Taste- Cooked agave, honey, floral and herbal at times. Faint cinnamon spice. Mouth feel is full bodied Finish- Long and spicy! Overall this was a fabulous and fascinating tasting. The nose was different from the taste that was different from the finish but the whole thing was amazing!

Has a minty and floral flavor that I really enjoy. A little different than a lot of Blanco's but very enjoyable.

Big aroma grabs you as soon as it's poured. Citrus and the sweetness from well cooked agave hits first, followed by earth and floral notes. Flavor is bright citrus up front and sweet cooked agave. Cinnamon and hint of thyme and sage develop during med+ finish. There is a definite presence of dill pickle on the retro nasal. Pepper warms on tongue throughout. Mouth feel is nice and oily. Another gem from ArteNOM and NOM 1579

Very good. Very peppery with some agave and citrus. Tasted it with G4 blonco taste very similar but more clean than the G4. Easier to drink probably because it’s air rated

Complicated but satisfying. Aroma full of brick oven and sweet cooked agave mixed with rain water and minerals, rice, green mango and sage. Citrus, fruits, cloves and floral cent aggregated. Palate is agave forward, marzipan, lime, cloves, white pepper, basil and dill weed. Finish is medium spicy with cooked agave mix with sweetness like nutmeg and custard. Really easy to zip

Aromas of cooked agave, pepper, citrus, and mint. The flavor is soft while the texture is oily with notes of sweet agave, light vanilla, white pepper, cinnamon, and more mint. The finish is long and spicy, and invites you back for more.

Nose: Ripe, high brix caramelized agave marries with spicy minerals to deliver a big welcoming aroma. There’s abundant light colored tree fruit notes, citrus & oranges, and a floral scent that pops in and out throughout the nosing experience. Flavor: Rich agave forward profile. Trailing slightly behind comes cinnamon, cloves, white pepper and hints of basil and dill weed. Silky and creamy in the mouth, but by no means timid or demure.

This is another great blanco from master distiller Felipe Camarena. This review is based not off of pedigree alone - we all know G4, Pasote, Terralta and Volans are amazing. With taking that out of the equation, this blanco packs a punch. It is very agave forward with floral, citrus and vegetal notes on the nose, indicative of a highlands tequila. The flavor is strong of steamed agave, black pepper, asparagus, sweet potato, spice, green apple and pear. It is really a very bold juice from 1579, and well done.

This is a blanco for agave lovers. I’m picking up agave, mint, citrus, pepper, and minerality. Sipping leaves your lips vibrating with a pleasant tingle that comes from the purest tequila. A fruity, peppery, mineral expression with a naturally oily long finish that doesn’t disappoint. In fact, it’s my wife’s favorite blanco!

Arte NOM 1579. The name says it all. Go look up NOM 1579. This is another wonderful expression of a blanco tequila from Felipe Camarena. This is a smooth sipper with an easy finish. Salud!

Lots and lots of green apple. On the nose and on the body. Knocked a few points off for price. Really soft and oily on the body which I liked. Not a huge fan of the specific moment when it transitions from tasting to the swallow.
