Smell of medicine and some agave. Very one dimensional on the nose. Similar with taste. Water finish. Not horrible but certainly no where near a good tequila. Tasted this at a Chicago airport where nothing good could be found. The other choices were not great and this one I had never rated so I picked it. Cost me $20 for a pour with tax and tip. Very expensive to rate a dog but sometimes you just want to find out.

The aroma is indeed noisome, consisting of wet cardboard, scathing alcohol that burns the nostrils orange/lemon citrus, salt, pepper, and acetone. I just could not care to smell this honestly, it didn’t induce the anxious want to taste it. The palate encountered the presence of cooked agave, lemon citrus, medicinal, butteriness, cardboard, brine, and plastic grocery store bag, which ultimately made it very difficult for me to believe that this spirit wasn’t made with a diffuser. For me to drink and rate this, was an exercise in Zen.

Fresh crack is very ethanol and acetone forward with some hint of sweet vanilla. Nose: Sweet ethanol vanilla. Not much going on and i am unable to detect any agave. Sweet tart dusty candy. Palate: Thick mouth feel. Starts out with general sweetness which finishes in alcohol burn on my tongue. Cream soda, no agave. Not great. I recommend skipping this pour.

Lot of burn on palate, not much agave on nose. Has additives so know what you’re drinking

Light on agave but peppery. I'd use it to mix if nothing else was around.

Aroma of rubbing alcohol and a hint of grass. Flavor of rubber, like licking a tire. Thankfully the finish is short.

Not a pleasant aroma - closer to rubbing alcohol with grass and a little agave. The taste is similar to the nose.

The nose gives proof of additives and it tastes of additives and there are additives on the finish. It’s affordable but if you care about agave don’t buy this product.

Aroma of agave and black pepper. Slight rubber. Pretty basic but not bad, especially for the price.

Definitely on the sweet side, toasted almond and brown sugar. The good thing is that product can be found just about anywhere that serves booze and it will do in a pinch

The only thing that comes to mind about the aroma is rubbing alcohol. Maybe the slightest notes of agave and butter but that's a stretch. The flavor follows suit...mostly nondescript but leaves a strange texture in your mouth. Almost that strong tannic sensation you get from a big Zinfandel but not nearly as pleasant. Virtually no finish. It's just gone. But, that might be for the best.

Nose- I can’t get past the smell, it’s like a light nail polish and alcohol, and sweet smell, Taste- is the same as nose, only reason I have this is somebody gave it to me.

Fine enough for a middle-shelf and readily available bottle. Tastes better than it smells, and it mixes decently. Probably won’t be buying again, but for grabbing it on sale at $24, it’s decent

Blanco Tequila: The Great Divide

While the panel’s favorites were complex, elemental and intriguing, we were troubled by a lack of intensity in many of the bottles as well as by a sense of artificiality in some. As Florence put it, we found a great divide between those tequilas we liked
