Mildly herbal aroma with agave distinctly present. Also, a slight hint of rubber or plastic. The flavor is mildly briny with cooked agave present upfront and cinnamon and black pepper following. A decent tequila but nothing special. 7/26/2015
As Kathie Lee (an avid drinker, but I'm not sure if she enjoys tequila...) sings, "everyone has a story;" and Tequila 55 is no different.
Aroma is barrel-heavy with vanilla and caramel dominant. Just a slight hint of agave on the nose. The heavy barrel plays through in the flavor...not overly sweet but lots of caramel upfront followed by nice baking spice and black pepper. The tannins are very evident. 7/26/2015
