Eyes- clear with no floaters nice legs that flow slowly Nose- cooked agave with nice baking spices, slight minerals, and little citrus Mouthfeel- thick and viscous Taste- cooked agave, baking spices , citrus (like lime zest), mint, little minerality that flows into a nice light pepper finish
This blonco isn’t as viscous as the HP however it packs a little punch like the HP on the first few sips. After a couple you start to taste more of the agave, citrus/ fruitiness (like melon) and little minerality that flows right into a slight bitterness (not off putting) with corse pepper on the backend that stays for a while. This is one that really do gets better with every sip. Very nice
El Mexicano Repo is probably my new favorite Repo … wow… cooked agave with fruitiness, some slight woodiness with vanilla caramel or butterscotch minerality on the end just delicious
tasted a small sample in 2021- ? enjoyed it. I want to revisit. revisited 10/2023 in the nose = butterscotch, tropical fruit. not a lot of barrel influences on the nose but they come thru on the palate with some oak, cooked agave comes thru and a little heat, some butter. dry finish with some spice/ heat. nice sipper
I love the coconut profile I get from this anejo. makes a great Mai Tai. replace the rum with this el Mexicano anejo
small sample vanilla, barrel notes, mild and easy sipper.

A touch of alcohol, pineapple, lemon juice aromas Palate is wonderful. VERY citrusy, sweet tropical fruit… Finish is soft and clean as a whistle. Cooked agave flavor profile fades slowly.
