Allow this one to open up for a few minutes and you’ll get a super subtle lactic vibe. Some mint in in the aroma too, but not overly complex. Flavor has lots of sweet cooked agave, easy to drink. Oily mouthfeel. This is a good long-term sipper that I will definitely drink again.

Light cinnamon nose, oily mouthfeel and a red hots cinnamon finish. A slight lactic funk that I like.

Nose: At first pass, the aroma is a bit timid. But given a swirl or two, the nose jumps alive. Clean, flinty minerals. Mint, cinnamon and juicy fruit gum tinged agave. Herbal notes of sage and thyme. A gentle waft of white and green peppercorns. Flavors: Sweet creaminess, medium viscosity and a nice pepper/cinnamon punch that builds in intensity. Savory salinity. Herbals follow the nose. And just a whisper of vanilla and anise peek through. Finish: This is an easy, solid sipper. I’ve been told by the brand owners that they want to keep Don Rico at an approachable price point.

Very light nose but some bold flavors with agave, pepper, and tart berry. Small tasting, will need to revisit.

Very clean aroma with no alcohol presence. Brineness, Swiss cheese, saline, touch of sweetness. Didn't love the finish which has more of a vodka bitter ethanol burn and an underlying note I didn't love. Sippable but not my favorite.

I went back to this bottle 3 times before posting. At such an affordable price point, I can see this blanco as a sipper or a mixer. I won’t hesitate to use it to make Ranch Waters or Paloma’s, or sip neat with a side of Sangrita. It helps to let the pour breathe a bit, plus it gets mellowed in the bottle after the first few pours with some headspace in the bottle. The sip starts a bit non assertive, but then the flavors really develop and pop. I love the finish and look forward to that part of the sip. I rarely score a tequila a “90”, but this one demands attention.

Solid Blanco, but nothing groundbreaking here. Very muted nose, can’t pick up a lot. I think the best part on the palate is the creamy mouthfeel; it’s easy drinking but not interesting enough to standup to some of the more notable tequilas around its price point (Ocho, LALO, etc.). With so many incredible Blancos out there, I probably won’t buy it again.

Well balanced blanco. On the nose: raw agave and lots of green grass. Some hints of pepper but nothing too exotic or enticing. On the tongue: smooth agave and some spice. A hint of floral. Not labeled as additive free so I feel like I'm picking up on something un-natural to the tequila production process. Good value though.

I like the Blanco best! Lots of agave notes and taste. The blending of both highland and lowland agaves gives this juice a complex mouthful with citrus, herbal, anise and peppery flavors. Can sip it all day.
