For the aroma I picked up some traditional extra anejo smells but they were overshadowed by an odd cherry cough syrup aroma. Flavor was sweet as expected. Had traditional notes of caramel and vanilla but there was an undertone of bitter smokiness. The finish was not very pleasant. This was a pretty underwhelming bottle

Too much ethanol in the finish for my preference in an extra anejo.
