Vessel: Glencairn Nose: Peach, Floral, Walnut, Grass, Agave, Mint, Molasses, Vanilla, Honey Mouthfeel: Medium-Bodied Palate: Smoke, Carmel, Floral, Jalapeño Finish: Oak, Vegetal,Caramel, Agave, Jalapeño What a wild ride this one was! This Anejo was very complex and had a surprise around every aspect; the nose, palate, and finish were remarkably distinct from each other in almost every way. After trying the 55% anejo from Caballito a month or so back, I really thought I had this one figured out.. Instead, I have a newfound respect for Caballito and a fresh reminder of how much of a profound difference 9% abv can have on a spirit.
