Strong butterscotch and alcohol on the nose, oak, peppery, agave and light vanilla.

Good product! Oak/barrel spice overpower the agave flavor, seems intentional as probably their market are used to Whiskey/Bourbon (It was shared later that they use wood chips as well)

I’m tasting cooked agave, cinnamon, oak, dried apricot, grapefruit, and honey with a kick of pepper. It’s sweet and spicy with a touch of bitterness, not your typical bourbon-lovers American profile. I’m identifying different flavors each sip, and think I’ll need to keep returning to see what else reveals itself.

On the light side for an Añejo. Good over all aroma, taste and finish. The price is what makes this a value also coming out of NOM 1414 gives this Anejo some cred.

Nose and taste are clean with agave, vanilla, barrel spice of toasted oak, caramel, and cinnamon. Natural sweetness countered by some bitterness from the wood. This is very natural in color, aroma and flavor as I would expect from 1414.

On the nose I smell fermenting musto, cooked agave, slight oak and candied orange. I taste a mix of pepper, cinnamon, dark citrus, oak and cooked agave. The finish is nice. This is an affordable sipper that could convert some whiskey drinkers.

Extremely fruity on the nose. Reminds me of Del Jaguar and San Matias XA. Taste is fruity as well, with a slight pepper finish. Definitely recommend!

Aroma: Banana, Oak, Caramel, Agave, and Vanilla. Taste: 1. Cooked agave 2. Vanilla 3. Caramel 4. Lastly with some more agave combined with oak. Finish: For an 80 proof it does finish a little hot so points lost for that. There is also a slight astringency, mainly from the tannins in the oak. Value: For $46 (Ramirez Liquor LA) it’s an amazing value for a solid añejo from a fantastic distillery.

On the nose I get really light flavors, light cooked agave, oak, cinnamon, on the taste it’s a little different, a little cooked agave, oak, and a bitter clove taste with cinnamon. My least favorite out of the Juan Lobo expressions. The reposado was my favorite delicious.
