Great añejo. Great nose, agave honey, cinnamon, nutty, dried fruit, cherry, etc. Palate is matched superbly and gets more complex as the minutes pass. Extra points for price point. Quite possibly the best añejo for under 50 bones! An experienced palate would really appreciate this one!

A little funk on the nose with minimal agave. Palate is soft, some vanilla and soft agave. Finish is decent. Not amazing. A decent Añejo after opening. I like it better after it has opened. Further pours note there’s a sweetness on the palate.

Taste- Cooked agave, oak, pitted fruit, licorice (bitterness), little vanilla, smoke (almost similar to a scotch) And light pepper on the backend.

Solid anejo. Light hand on the oak, which I appreciate. Long finish. Not super memorable in any respect but a very well made spirit. And a very affordable price in todays aged tequila market.

I can smell the cooked agave, sweet oak and a floral note. I then taste agave, toasted oak, caramel, spicy vanilla and some smoke in the midpalate. The finish is nice. There is pepper and a viscous mouthfeel which helps the finish to slightly linger. Overall the Anejo is the most complex of the 3 expressions. It’s complex but nowhere close to overwhelming. Well done Insólito! 2nd tasting - Half bottle The bottle opened up some and I increased the rating by a 2 points. Salud!

Aroma- Light roast agave. A touch of vanilla followed by mild butterscotch. Taste- Sweet and earthy. A vegetal roast agave follows the subtle sweet bringing a dry minerality. A slightly bitter herbal finish.

In my view, this stands as one of the finest Añejos available in the current market. And best of all, It's offered at a very reasonable price point.

Not a big fan of anjeos, too close to bourbons/whiskeys & I don't like those. However, I am willing to try them & this one was pleasant to drink. Tried it neat, would try it again over ice.

Decent for a $45. Def caramel and vanilla from the oak barrels. I don’t want to sip this but for $45, it’s a decent tequila.

Insolito Blanco Anjeo (Lote TIA015) $65 (USD) Overall: Insolito's Anjeo is a legit quality sipper at an amazingly low price.  The nose is highly aromatic, sweet, savor, with a little chocolate covered cherries.  The mouthfeel and flavors are all there, albeit a little muted.  The finish is excellent.  Aroma:  Inviting and rich.  Great balance from the cooked agave, toasted oak, chocolate covered cherries, sweet and salted caramel, spicy vanilla, and hints of smoke and orange peel. Just when the nose seems to have it all, it suddenly fades.  Taste: The mouthfeel is full and buttery with a great peppery bite.  My main issue is the flavors are so light and muted that it detracts from overall experience.  Like the nose, I get cooked agave, toasted oak, mild chocolate, mild cherry, light caramel, light vanilla, and a slight hint of smoke.  Finish: Medium finish. Sweetness of the cooked agave, cinnamon, pepper, and salted caramel is an enjoyable experience.

Not much of a nose but the flavor profile is vanilla, Carmel very little agave but a good buttery mouth. this is much better than the Blanco, the barrel has had some huge influence and this tequila.I would say a good sipper and as long as it's not over 45 bucks a good choice

Nose is interesting. Over ripe banana. I like it though. Taste follows a similar note, like a fruit salad that has been in the fridge a little too long. Like you should probably throw out the fruit salad but it tastes good. Floral aftertaste. I dig it.
