Nose is muted. Don’t really pick up agave on it. Palate isn’t bad, nothing fancy but I kind of like it. Palate and finish are soft, easy to drink

A – Cooked agave and a lactic funk (in a nice way) on the nose, initially. I’m smelling baking spice, hint of vanilla bean, cherry, pine, cola, and fresh cut grass add to the complex aroma. T – Cooked agave, anise, and yeasty goodness are prevalent. Picking up white pepper, savory herbs, limestone. Alcohol hits hard on the flat of the tongue, in mighty good way. F – I’m getting bananas foster flambe in the finish (with the molasses/baking spice combo). The finish on this is unreal. Overall – This is a solid tequila.

Nose on this is unusual for me, with hints of aloe, green pepper, and wet stone. In the mouth, I get cooked agave, pepper, and lemon. The finish is long and spicy, and it’s interesting because the taste of the finish is quite a bit different than the initial flavor. Maybe a little disjointed, but memorable for certain.

Since my video review, I'm changing rating down to an 82. Solid for celebrity tequila though.

Light agave and bell pepper aroma. Picked up some flavors or agave, pepper, and bell pepper. Slight bitter notes hit the side of my tongue. Has some legs but not enough going on. It’s the bell pepper that sticks out for me.

I dont like this one as much. Aroma: agave doesnt come through as much. Kind of bland. Rubbing alcohol Taste: not as complex. Also bland like the nose. I get raw agave and some rubbing alcohol Finish: not as pleasant and sticks with you. Not as much body to this I will steer away from this moving forward. Artenom 1579??? Appreciate additive free but bland

INSÓLITO Blanco The nose is light and clean. I get notes of agave, citrus, floral, salt / brine and a hint of sweetness. I taste the agave and then some green pepper, minerals and a hint of buttercream sweetness. There is a light mouthfeel and a clean finish with no alcohol burn. 2nd review - bottle half empty. The taste improved by one point. It opened up a little bit. Salud!

Didn't love it. Definitely better than some other tequilas I had, but the aroma is lacking the notes I like in a blanco. Too fruity with ethanol for my liking for sipping.

aroma of gasoline and pine tar, but only faintly. peppery flavor, with caramel, buttery with a distinct alcohol crescendo.

Oak on the nose and agave on the palate. This is a nice citrusy blanco. Additive free and an amazing value! You can easily sip or mix this one, and for the money, a great value!

3rd night of sipping and this drink has become somewhat palatable, more so than the first two nights. Wafts of scathing ethyl, citrus, caramel, vinegar acetone, cherry and peach. (Initially tasting)Overpowering Ethyl, jalapeño ,honey , agave, brine, medicinal, orange peel, alcohol. The dry down is fruity, citrusy, watery trace and dried fruits which is acceptable but can’t save itself from it’s totality. This drink was not a pleasurable experience for me, just too rough and aggresive with a pronounce ethanol that just dominates the total taste. Not a fan, but I will finish the bottle. 35$ so value is factored in my rating.

LOTE TIB009, acquired on October 2022. Aroma: briny green raw agave, alcohol sensation is medium high, green notes, thick mouthfeel. Palate: briny raw agave, green notes, slightly herbaceous, almost no sweetness from the agave. Finish is medium to medium long, briny raw agave notes persist.

Insolito Blanco (LoteTIB008) $45 (USD) Overall: This is decently priced blanco in an attractive bottle, but the juice inside doesn't really move me.  I'll steal from Brett Dillion, 'nothing to complain about, but also nothing exciting'.  Yeah, that pretty much sums it up for me. Aroma: Immediately hit with a mellow lactic funk that dominates the nose. Mild hints of vanilla and rose floralness. Herbal notes border on caraway seeds or basil, slight bell pepper vegetalness, white pepper and anise spice, set within a slight chalky/limestone earthy foundation.  I'm really not picking up a lot of agave in the nose. If you don't like lactic funk in your tequila, this is definitely not the tequila for you.  Taste: Light sweetness with a creamy mouthfeel, but the character is quite muted.  Cooked agave, anise, and yeasty goodness are prevalent along with a light citrus, Again, I am picking up white pepper, savory herbs, and a chalky-limestone minerality. Again, nothing really jumps out of the glass and gets me excited. Finish: Solid and pleasant.  Mild finish, black pepper, basil, with earthy cooked agave notes.

drinkable but for the price not good. Nothing going on with this as far as aroma and the flavor is about the same with a weird medicinal after taste. Not even worth trying to explain flavor. It's not undrinkable but why would you unless nothing else...

Pepper and citrus are the strongest non agave flavors. You can taste the mineral and vegetal notes as well. It's solid especially for the price.
