This is an older bottle and is no longer being produced. The NOM (1423, Tequila D’Reyes S.A. De C.V. Carretera Internacional No. 100) is no longer active either. The full name is D’Reyes Reserva Seleccionada. And, with ABV at 38% I assume a Mexico only bottling. Aroma is relatively sweet dominated by vanilla. The mouthfeel is thin and almost watery. However, the flavor has an upfront peppery spice that lingers. The finish is short to medium with a slight almond bitterness. Overall, this is a decent añejo but pretty basic - one-note aroma, one-note flavor and short finish. Nothing special here. 02-16-2018

U.S. import by H. Spencer Wright Hernandez Inc. Green olive color bottle, 750ml., 38% abv. Color: just a tad of yellow. Aroma: raw agave, alcohol sensation is medium despite low abv., light green notes, raw cucumber. Palate: raw agave, slightly acid, ends slightly astringent. Very light black pepper spiciness. Finish is short, raw agave notes persist but quite short.
