This does not taste like tequila, it reminds me more of agave nectar than an agave spirit. It is a great dessert liquor but not by any means would recognize it as a tequila.

NOM 1477 | Way, way too sweet. Maple syrup sweet. Not trace of cooked agave. Overly sweet ... did I mention how sweet this Anejo is? it just doesn’t taste anything like tequila.

Oak and toasted almond on the nose, smells good enough to take the leap. Just waaaaaaay to sweet to have more than one but an improvement over the Reposado in than at least it has some oak in the background.

Super sweet nose with spicy notes. Entirely too sweet and manipulated. The entire line up of expressions is a poor example of true tequila. Brings new meaning to “Americanized tequila.”

This is extremely sweet. So sweet that it no longer resembles a tequila at all. The aroma has some fruit and baking spice but the flavor is so loaded with sugar that I can't taste anything else. Finish is non existant. This is a product designed for people who don't like tequila.

Heavy aroma and flavor of pitted fruit (peach, guayabana?), baking spices and caramel. Little to no finish. Saccharine aftertaste. So sweet it tastes like a schnapps or sweet digestivo. No agave, therefore I wouldn't consider it a tequila.

Adictivo Anjeo ($59 @ Sip Tequila) is aimed at those who prefer overly sweet Tequila. This is god awful, but the folks at Sip Tequila claim it's one of their top sellers.

I have the Extra Anejo black and I would say for the price the Anejo is probably a better considering price. not as good asbthe black but still very good.

Very sweet but not in a sticky liquor way. Definitely a desert type agave beverage. It may be too sweet for large consumption. It’s sweet, dark, vanilla, and smoooooth. It’s a good one to share with your non-tequila liking friends. I’d recommend especially for the $60 price.

I enjoy the smooth taste and finish that I don’t find in most tequilas.

Too sweet. Upset my stomach and gave me a terrible hangover. The only tequila to give me a hangover ever.

Freshly backed ginger bread wafts from the glass. Sweet tones of maple, vanilla, toffee, caramel and wood spice broadcast the fact that this nectar lived for five years in the barrel. Rich, unctuous mouthfeel with a weighty mid palate. Almost oily in texture. Hedonistic right out of the gate. “Please Sir, may I have another?”

Syrup sweet, with a sharp scent of butterscotch. (Dare I say, cake-batter?) I will not be drinking again. Not for this price.
