A very good value, nice aroma , hints of spice and honey, mild dried fruit, flavor of citrus, vanilla and barrel spice , a touch of burn with a sweeter finish but still has a good Agave note , for the price it is a very nice drinker.

Kinda chocolatey on the nose, quite agave forward with some nutmeg in the mix as well. Coffee grounds. A touch of green vegetal notes that you have to search for a bit, but help with the depth. The more it’s nosed, the more alcohol creeps through and tickles the nostrils. Nice thick mouthfeel, some bitter notes reminiscent of greenish oak. Not much agave comes through on the palate. Which isn’t a bad thing, just an observation. More caramel than anything else. Finishes quickly and unremarkably. The heat lingers with whispers of vanilla here and there. Not a real Anejo fan, it’s not a bad pick by any means, but even with the limited Alberta selection, there is better choices for the money.

It’s average and for the money there are better options out there

On the nose, there is a heavy black pepper, not overwhelming, but almost borderline, followed by oak then caramel and some baked agave. Entry brings some agave and caramel and finishes with the same caramel and oak, surprisingly smooth and no pepper on the palette regarding the very spicy nose.

Easy enough to get along with, sweet balances heat and the glass is empty before you know it.

Barrel with a hint of cooked agave on the nose. Seems that the extra aging subdued the sweetness on the nose compared to the repo. Some pear with a nice bit of barrel on the finish. Still fairly sweet but the dryness of the barrel helps to balance it somewhat.

This tequila has a good start in both aroma and flavor but it lacks on finish. Nice cream soda or caramel taste mix with cinnamon, agave and butterscotch making it a little too sweet at finish.

Caramel licorice on the nose. Spice, agave on the front of the tongue, which lingers a bit and some vanilla and sweetness at the end. Not too sweet, but soft and pleasant, and maybe too expensive.

Great sipper. Not too much to read in to, but it is very smooth.

Good for sure but in many ways too subtle. Also brings about thoughts of a coke float. Very sweet.

It is a bit spicy but not too bad. Not real sweet but I can taste subtle sweet at the finish. Spice does linger long after the sweet taste goes away. Good balance of sweet and spice.

It is just pleasant. First time trying their Añejo. Sweet aroma and taste. Nothing overpowering or remarkable. But good. The finish is the best part of it—very easy going down. Not too sweet. Pleasant.

Like The Men Who Stare at Goats, you want it to be so much more, but it never delivers beyond Patron-like marketing.

Expert tequila critics may ding this tequila, but I’ve found it to be quite enjoyable as a sipping tequila. Very smooth finish with strong flavors of caramel and vanilla. For me, I didn’t find the agave flavor until the finish. I also have to thank the review I found about this tequila for pointing me to TequilaMatch!

Caramel and vanilla on the nose, some cooked agave present on the mouth. Smooth, not very complex finish. Overall a decent añejo
