IT starts with a floral smell, very nice. From first sip it's SMOOTH as can be, Very light on the pepper with a hint of Caramel and Vanilla and a woody hint on the backend. VERY, VERY, VERY SMOOTH ALL THE WAY THROUGH, BUY IT !!!!
Taste matches aroma. Nice balanced caramel, vanilla with hints of charred barrel (??) and pleasant heat. Finish adds some cinnamon and is med-long. Everything about this expression is pleasant including the price!
Excellent XA, very enjoyable, roasted agave, slightly sweet, caramel, vanilla, citrus notes. nice finish.
This is my first Extra Anejo and it was very enjoyable and easy to drink.
Notes of caramel and vanilla on the tongue. Fruit. Hint of caramel. Taste coats the mouth. Peppery finish. Well rounded.
Very smooth not too sweet but delightful finish
Caramel, maple, vanilla, cooked agave flavor Caramel, maple and vanilla aroma. Excellent value!
Hard to get past the strong alcohol on the nose. Oak and tar is overwhelming on the tongue. Finished long and nice, but hardly makes up for what you have to go through to get there.
Very smooth
Strong clean pine aroma but more heat than expected on the finish per nice, sweet Caramel, prefer others
It started out having a sweet dark cherry, maple syrup flavor but after I let it breathe a little it opened up quite nicely. Beautiful Oak, Dark Cherry, dark Chocolate, caramel and vanilla came through with a nice peppery heat. the finish is long and satisfying. I am liking this a lot.
Notes of honeysuckle and vanilla, a little bit of maple syrup on the back end. Not overpowering for an extra anejo- still maintains the clear cooker agave taste
Aromas: pineapple, banana, rum, oak, vanilla, roasted agave, caramel Flavors: toasted wood, light caramel, agave
It was pretty darn good
vanilla
Sweet smell with strong notes of vanilla. Very pleasing aroma. Spicy taste with a very subtle smokiness, but not overwhelming. Smooth to the palate with a complex sweet and spicy finish.
Exceptional!
I've been hard on organic tequilas but this one is a redeemer for all the other organic tequilas. It hit all the flavors I like Carmel, vanilla, and an oak finish. I didn't find it as sweet as much of the other reviews hit upon and it had a little more heat on the tongue than I would prefer. Other than that it is a very good well rounded tequila.
Such an interesting tequila. Notes of caramel and burnt sugar on the nosing. Initial taste is caramel followed by cooked agave. Long finish. Good value for the bottle as well. Ps: revisited this a week later and feel like the caramel notes are much stronger. I still like it but maybe it's a bit too caramel heavy. Almost tastes slightly artificial
Very smooth to drink and for around $80 retail you cannot beat the value...
Great caramel candy nose but a tad on the sweet side. Solid, well rounded tequila for the price.
Aroma: maple, vanilla with spice but the oak really comes through to finish the aroma. Flavor: silky, creamy, slight sweetness but not as expected. Oak really comes through with a slight white pepper mixed with vanilla and butterscotch. Finish: an oaky peppery finish with a rising heat topping a mid palette then lingering for a time. The vanilla stays on the back end. Good tequila
Aroma: bottom-butterscotch, smokey, agave, cinnamon, chocolate; top- mint, chocolate Taste: complex-long finish, silky, cinnamon, chocolate, hint of chili

Aroma has subtle cooked agave sweetness and other fruits (cherry, apple, pear). Complex flavor profile with sweetness of fruit, some astringent minerality and ends with bitter almond. So much flavor and very, very good. Long finish that lingers with great flavor. 12/24/2020 - 8th Annual Xmas XA tasting
