A new NOM to me: 1333 Very dark in color - almost copper colored. Some floculation (floaters). Nose: Initial hit of oak, with vanilla and light caramel. Some earthiness and notes of freshly cut grass. Flavor: Some viscosity, general barrel spices and sweetness present. There is a fair amount of heat building on the sides and back of my palate. A modicum of bitterness. All the flavors are somewhat muddled - This tequila picks up points on value at about $200 pesos.

Mexican 38% abv., lote: L0906, bottled on 19/12/06, marbete is from 2006, tasted on 4-1-24. Color: dark yellow to light brown. Aroma: light cooked agave, vanilla, light fruitiness, light acidity, after 20 minutes in the glass a light sweetness becomes more intense and I feel it is agave sweetness that has been masked by light barrel spice and vanilla notes. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good integration of all aromas mentioned above, sweetness is balanced and not cloying. Finish is medium to medium long, light sweet cooked agave, light vanilla, light spices and a warming sensation persists.
