NOM 1566 | NOM 1566. Nice tears on the glass. Vegetal agave on the nose. Palate is a bit muted in flavor but not bad by any means. I'll sip it

Really nice nose, grass after rain and agave with a touch of citrus. A full mouthfeel that’s pepper all over and some cooked agave rounding it out. Comes in a bit hot, long finish all over the tongue. Falls just a bit short from where it starts, but overall a nice effort.

NOM 1443 | Nose has hints of agave, but a strong astringent odor too. Not super favorable. Taste is well balanced ! Agave forward, nice citrus, and and a sweet warm finish. I like this product. Solid value for 40$ @Old Town IMO. Would recommend to a friend

NOM 1443 | This is way better than I remember, I was expecting to be overcome by the alcohol but I found that the agave was front and centre the entire time. Loads of black pepper and a bit of papaya, good juice!

Little alcoholy, with notes of pepper and pepper. Will be good for cocktails.

Ripe peach, pineapple, lime nose. Sweet fruity entry as well, with black tea tannins. Good balance of sweet/bitter continues through the finish.

Blind rated. The Aroma is very nice and sweet, with hints of mint, citrus, cinnamon and cooked agave. On the palate it's fun with its pleasent spicy burn on the front and a nice medium to long agave finish. Really good and the price is nice too.

Chemical on the nose not much else there. Flavor was light with some sweetness of sugar. Poor finish, quick

Lots of green agave along with alcohol of course. After a few minutes in a riedel this blanco shows anise and black pepper on the nose and then in the mouth leading to a very long finish. I like it.

The aroma is very subtle for something high proof. I get notes of agave, pepper and a bit of banana. The flavor is hot but not overpowering. There's definitely lots of pepper and agave. As to be expected with a high proof tequila, the finish is strong and hangs around for a while.

pepper citrus nose with a burn that's spent some time at the gym. it's not overly inflated burn, but it'd there and gives you a heads up you're dealing with a man's drink. front powerful in nice pepper with grapefruit undertones aggressive but not angry burn. lingering pepper finish doesn't want you to leave. it's like it's afraid you'll forget about her and can't tear herself away. long soft but spiteful finish.

I'm a big fan of organic and overproof/still-strength blancos, so I always have this one on the shelf. I also love that they carry the 100 proof through the entire line. There is huge agave and pepper through the aroma, flavor and finish. Earlier lots suffered from distracting mineral qualities. Later lots are improving on this. The agave and pepper qualities are probably slightly muted over earlier lots as well, but those qualities are still big and bold. Overall, I think they are improving their process over time.

This is a decent blanco, but it's too plain to compete with the better houses. No agave flavor to speak of.

Aroma has strong earth and vegetal notes that clearly show through the higher alcohol content. There is also a slight aroma of bread/yeast here. Hot and spicy flavor hits right upfront. The bread-y aroma carries through in the flavor and has a slight sweetness. The finish is moderate despite the high-impact opening.

Aromas that are slightly minty, with pleasing tones of cooked agave and citrus. It has a sweet honey-like smell once you let it breathe a bit, and I suggest that you allow this plenty of time to do just that. This is a high proof beauty that is not for timid tequila drinkers. It is spicy and warm and has a long finish. I like it.

NOM 1566 | NOM 1566 This was at Costco - $40 for 1.75L I believe. Quite a deal. Definitely not as good as Cimarron if comparing to a similarly priced tequila, but at this price it’s nice to have a bottle on the shelf to switch things up every now and then. With that being said I won’t go out of my way to buy it again.

Getting more ethanol on aroma than I would've liked. Smelling some agave, butter, nuttiness. Getting some initial sweet salty agave followed by pepper on taste. Great value for a high proof (seen as low as $30). Might even the cheapest HP and it's additive free. I can sip this and definitely won't mind it for a stronger margarita.

Heres the thing. I picked up at a 50% discount sale for $13 dollars. I planned to use this for Margaritas and Palomas, but we quickly shifted over to another tequila. Nobody liked this stuff and I needed extra mixer to just get through the first dew drinks. It's a hard pass for me.

Dulce Vida is 100-proof tequila done right

Sometimes 40% alcohol (80-proof) just isn’t enough. I say this not because of any need to hurry up and get a fast buzz on, but rather that a quality tequila made at 100 proof (50% alcohol) can be more true to the real nature of tequila than one that is at

There are two words that immediately come to mind when tasting the lineup of Dulce Vida tequilas: fuerte (strong) and unique.
