Bitter and dry with lots of alcohol and barrel flavor.

Initial aroma is antiseptic alcohol and brine. With a little time (5-6 minutes), the aroma evolves to more traditional barrel notes - caramel and vanilla - but still carries some of the antiseptic aroma from the opening. Flavor opens full of tropical fruit - banana, pineapple, slight citrus - that is quickly overcome by a strong, spicy heat. For all of the flavor, the finish is surprisingly short. 9/9/2015

Sweet vanilla and a little Caramel on the nose. Leather tannins and a heavy burn.

Very offputting soapy taste to the añejo. This was from the older glass bottle without the copper accent.

Syrupy sweet and overpriced.

Vanilla after taste and drinkable don’t ruin bye mixing, great value.

The smell is alcohol forward with this tequila. The taste lacks more complex flavors that characterize a good añejo. What really saves this tequila is the finish, which is smooth and will make you feel like you can enjoy it throughout the night.

Very warm tequila, calming. Rich in flavor of oak and smooth finish. Definitely a classy choice.

Smooth, little bit of smoke and decent price. I like the after taste how it gives a smokey taste with a hint of caramel to me. Good buy.

Really didn’t like this from the first sip, diffuser, lacking any resemblance of cooked agave

I really only could taste the agave.

Black pepper, mint, agave, vanilla and cinnamon. Tastes closer to a Reposado, honestly. Enjoy the flavor, but has a big burn for an Anejo. Bought it for >$40 CAD, but I can’t find it for less than $70 in Canada.

Smells like paint thinner, very strong alcohol taste

I only buy this Tequila when it's on sale for $25. Other than that not worth full price for a diffuser Tequila.

Panel review doesn’t make sense. This has character length and is very enjoyable

Another one I didn’t buy so can’t fully rate value.

Both the aroma and taste on this one start out well, but quickly turn very bitter and off-putting the longer it opens up. At first I detected roasted agave, baked apples, and black pepper on the nose, along with a faint fruity scent that was almost fake in nature. Then the oak appeared, along with mild caramel and vanilla notes. The smell then quickly became very bitter and had strong aromas of nail polish remover. The flavor was similar, starting off with a strong spiciness from black pepper, then sweetness from roasted agave, as well as typical oak barrel flavors of caramel and vanilla. This then followed in the footsteps of the aroma with a strong bitter flavor and a taste of acetone. Some positives of the bitterness were that I could taste and smell some variation in it, such as orange rind, green banana/plantain, and bitter herbs.

A bit boring for me. Lacking complexity and not many flavor profiles.

Tres Generaciones bottles a bouquet of flavor and Sauza tradition

Bottled in elegant, curvy bottles whose labeling reflects three generations of Sauza tequila, Tres Generaciones at first might seem like Sauza's attempt at an artisanal tequila.
