Aroma: Cooked agave, fruit, and vanilla. Taste : Predominated by agave, oak, and pepper. There are some understones of vanilla here as well. The texture and mouthfeel are well balanced. Finish : Spicy black pepper and cinnamon finish that's decent in length.

Rated blind: Really nice aroma on this. Peach, fruit and sweet agave aromas. Has a rich flavor and feels full and oily in the mouth, with a dry finish. A nice natural product.

Super soft and approachable, has very little sweetness to drive off veteran tequila drinkers. Lovely grassy notes.

Light in color with long thick lágrimas. First wave nose: Rich vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch. Next comes agave, citrus and dark fruit. Nice spices. Flavor: Cinnamon, cloves, sweet thick agave notes, vanilla and pepper. A touch of earthiness and mint. Good mouth feel. Light French oak note. Finishes with heat and anise and generally good balance.

Light green tree fruit aroma. Flavor is smooth and slightly fruity but not sweet. Very pleasant gentle finish with just a hint of cinnamon warmth.

I'll second some other comments and say this reposado is very soft in the mouth initially but I disagree with the not much aroma statements. The bottle I opened was full of agave right after pouring. Pepper and oak prevail in the mouth and end sweetly with some tip of the tongue buzz from the 40% ABV. Overall a nice reposado but not what I was expecting based on the blanco, añejo and XA I have had from the Don Fulano line.

Aroma: Very subtle and hard to really pick up on anything specific. Maybe some small hints of agave and pepper. Flavor: Much like the aroma, the flavor is pretty subtle. It has a definite pepper flavor but not much else. Finish: It's a little lackluster... It's just such a mellow tequila that it goes down and doesn't really leave anything behind.

Relatively bland aroma with moderate scents of black pepper, agave and wood. Flavor is a big surprise after the aroma - big and fruity with very little spice at the end. Taste is soft, wet and refreshing. Spice appears and lingers for moderate finish that stays completely in the mouth.

Rating this with a “Tequila Fan” status, this is far and away thee most unique tequila I’ve had yet. It tastes and finishes like craftsmanship. I feel like I’m at home, because I am, and my mouth esophagus and belly are in Mexico. New favorite, and the cost makes me want to do more for Don Fulano.

It has a strong greenish taste characteristic of organic tequila. This pallor is not disagreeable, but feels fresh. However when I want these taste, I will choose don nacho.

1st pour no rest period or time to open and breathe, it gave me a sour scent of moldy lemons.. and heavy lactic smell. I left the bottle open and glass down for 20 minutes and the whole thing changed on me. on the nose,Nice citrus, cooked agave, oak, cooked pine nuts, light lactic/cheesy fragrance, cinnamon hint of potpourri/gardenias. on the palate cooked agave is the star of this production.. subtle flavors of oak, cinnamon, vanilla, and light spices. alot of black pepper and smoke (reminds me of mezcal "firme"). finish is nice with throat heat and delightful chest burn.

Good and different. Agave, fruit, caramel and a little smoke. When it all comes together it reminds me of a muscadine grape

Don Fulano Reposado, for me, has an unusual presentation. I get cooked agave, black pepper, olive, brine, and a mild citrus peel aroma. So far a beautiful if not typical bouquet. However there is a roasted protein in the background. Roasted chicken...got to say it has a marinade vibe. I’m digging it! The arrival is more cooked agave, a bit of vanilla and orange peel, pepper and brine, and bubble gum (Isoamyl acetate, a fermentation ester making the cut). A short to medium dry finish makes you want to head back to the glass to wet your whistle.

I use Don Fulano for many of my tequila tastings and I consider this reposado to be a great example to use French oak aging! The denser French oak seemed to allow to conserve more of the aroma of the original tequila, I get lots of cooked agave on the nose and the flavor. The nose also gives me raisin and honey aromas too. I love how this reposado's taste evolves from the initial cooked agave burst to be paired with "classic" Highland peppery notes and just tiny hints of flavors from the barrel. It feels almost like a blanco with a tiny little extra touch from the wood.
