Sampled at Total Wine. The La Cofradia funk profile is subdued here by honey and butter notes. Some cooked agave, but not at the forefront. Additives suspected

Overly sweet and no natural flavor profile.

Oak and baked agave dominate the aroma and flavor profile. There are also hints of vanilla, honey and spice leading to a medium finish. The oak and agave overwhelm all other elements of this reposado.

Honey is very present. If it were $30 cheaper my rating would be significantly higher. Bottle is very cool and must drive the price.

I find Senor Rio's reposado more enjoyable than their blanco, however, there is plenty not to like. A $60 repo (Total Wine) that has a pleasant nose and mediocre taste. It lacks depth of flavor and complexity, which you should epect at this price point. Addatives are suspected.

Everything about this tequila is flat there’s a very raw alcohol feel to it. It does have a nice pepper refinish which I do appreciate sometimes but that’s about it

Olives, wet grass, alchohol and musty in the nose. Lemon, cooked agave, astringent and slight vanilla in the mouth. Brown sugar, slight butterscotch and artificial sweetener in a short finish. I'm glad I purchased on drink and not the whole bottle.

Just a little bit of oak notes in the top nose. Very silky mouth feel. Wood mid palate. Nice honey whisper finish. But still has some T heat that we all love! This tequila snob not only loves the flavor but I love the story. Do some research...

Dear Wine Enthusiast, 91 points? Really? Please tell us how many extra points they have purchased for your review! This tequila is very disappointing especially since many other tequilas from La Cofradia I like. This one has Avery appealing bottle but it stops there. Aroma is non-existent,I wish the flavor was the same but it's not. Won't buy this one again and store ratings are not to be trusted. I tried this so you won't have to. Blahhhhh.

Fantastic buy for the money. Tastes of cooked agave with a well balanced flavor of vanilla and carmel. New find and will continue to buy.

Senor Rio is a tequila that would make her father proud

Senor Rio tequila is a little different. The marketing force behind it is the founders of the tequila themselves.
