Originally a Texas based company, it is now owned by the Kilkenny family in California, and they have a solid and interesting line of tequilas.
Alright...I WANT to love this one. The anejo is one of my favorites. I know the brand is organic and well crafted, so here goes...
NOM 1426 | Basic profile, agave, citrus and tons of black pepper. Starts sweet (cooked agave), but then that flavor is minimized by spices (pepper/anise), astringency and acetone flavors. Decent mixer but high on price for what it offers.
