Gentle on the nose and palette, it’s got some agave going on but unfortunately it gets drowned out by the sweetener additive.

Agave and wet grass, very boozy on the nose. Lots of white pepper, less hot than expected based on the nose. Short finish with little complexity.

Had neat at Picante $10/neat. Aroma; cooked agave, pepper, vanilla, earth, spearmint and little alcohol. Flavor/palate; agave, alcohol, vanilla, yeast, earth, flowers and citrus. Good tequila and maybe a sipper here and there, but not a favorite. Finish is short but clean.

A pleasant surprise. I was expecting fire and brimstone and got a well balanced blanco of baked agave, black pepper and honey. Medium body and finish. A fantastic bottle with a solid tequila.

First impression The Blanco smells and tastes like kerosene. I do believe this will change.

Blanco much better than their harsh reposado!?! Bottle a keeper!

Aroma of agave, mint and mild vanilla. Flavor is pretty watered down on initial taste then gains heat and pepper on front and back of tongue. Warm peppery finish lingers on the tongue at the front and back. Something out of the ordinary here (not really in a good way). Definitely not your typical blanco. The packaging (especially in the early bottles with the clear bottoms and much more hand painted appearance) is impressive.

Bit of a bland taste. Prefer the repo but nice kick and citrus to it. Not best smell and after taste.

Cool bottle! That’s all its got going for it. The nose, flavor, and finish are all hot hot alcohol and pepper with no agave presence whatsoever. Massively harsh even in a cocktail. Thankfully, it was a gift from a friend who bought it in Mexico. Skip this bottle!

Review #104 - KAH Tequila Blanco

My last review on the KAH line. I should note that this is in the newer ceramic bottle and not the older painted glass one.

Kah tequila has gotten a lot of attention for its seriously cool skull-shaped Day of the Dead bottles, but what about the juice?
