This definitely heightens the flavor profile of Pasote blonco from the new nom, as it should. It drinks easy for a high proof. Starts with cooked agave, citrus and light minerality. Then goes into a huge herbal or sesame style funkiness that lingers on the tongue for a medium finish

Oh wow…. Lots of minerality and water source on the nose with cooked agave slight citrus … some heat on the palate but agave sweetness and some fruitiness long finish, minerality disappears and leaves that citrus peel tast on the tongue… I’m sure this will be different when it opens up

A little disappointed compared to othe still Strengths coming out lately. I wanted to like this Pasote so much. Not bad, just not great. Medium heat, white pepper and citrus. The agave did not shine for me in this tequila.

Aroma - minerality on a initial crack was overwhelming and wonderful, gave way to agave and alcohol Flavors- alcohol and pepper overwhelm the agave and mineral. Some brine and citrus. Finish is strong and long with pepper and alcohol gives way to mineral in the end. Other high proofs are better look forward to mixing with it but won’t sip.

Not my cup of tea Melo lactic. A chemical like flavor. Glad I just had a sample and did not purchase a bottle. If only 1579 made a Pasote Still Strength

There’s a dry dustiness here that is reminiscent of a very dark chocolate mouthfeel. This tastes like a highlands tequila with rustic elements. It’s multilayered and I don’t think it drinks as hot as other 55% tequilas. I put it in a Tommy’s margarita and it wasn’t very sweet, which I like.

Aroma - pine, nuts, wildflower honey, sour pickle. Flavor has a toasted sunflower seed and sesame seed with a hint of hay followed by maybe a toasted almond. The 55% bites the tongue the most and is followed by nice bitterness. Though not my go to flavor profile, I still like it as something a little different to sip on.

This tequila is reminiscent of Tepozan blanco, but with intensified flavors and aromas. The finish carries a touch of heat, although I've encountered 110s that didn't feel as fiery; nevertheless, it's not the most intense I've experienced.

First off is the packaging, clean bottle with a thick patch like label and nice graphics. Can't quite put my finger on the nose but there is some good agave coming thru. Let it open and it will relax some, maybe because of the high proof. First sip started simple then bam, a high proof kick in the palate. Let it sit a few and you will be welcomed to a wealth of agave that warms the belly for a good while. Will try again in a few days but me licks this high proof.

Mineral, grass, orange on the nose. I prefer a sweeter nose. It being a still strength you get the burn immediately on the tongue but it fades quick and butter, grass, pepper and agave comes on stronger as the initial quick burst of ethanol fades and the flavor lingers. Fantastically different still strength from Pasote
