NOM 1614 Aroma of cooked agave and mineral followed by earthy cinnamon, brine and citrus. Flavor mimics the aroma here with sufficient alcohol and oily mouthfeel. Points off for the mid $70 price, but it is an excellent, well made blanco.

Aromas of agave, wet straw, lemongrass, cedar, and sea air. Taste of agave, black pepper, jalapeños that longers all behind that burn that everyone's describing, it's pretty heavy for a 40%er. Overall hots right in the middle between old school flavors and new stuff.

NOM1614 Batch B72302 This bottle has been open for 24 hours. N- agave, green pepper, mango, earth T- sweet agave, pickled jalapeno, brine, balanced by pineapple and butter MF- oily and viscous F- Medium length. Salty sweet slowly fading to pepper before it disappears clean V- $80 in Michigan is steep but this is definitely worth the price

NOM 1614 | Vibrant and strong off the hop, this fades fast to a very gentle finish. Alcohol only becomes present at the end and it’s balanced with the remaining flavour. White pepper, cheese rind, orange. It’s nice.

NOM 1614 | Cazcanes NO. 7 Blanco - 40% ABV - 80 proof - NOM1614 - The agave jumps out of the glass. It’s a masculine scent of cooked agave, earthy minerals, citrus oils and some vegetal peppers. It’s mostly cooked agave and minerals which I love but there is more depth. Even though it has some stronger notes it’s still a well balanced nose. - The excellent legs and tears foreshadow a viscous mouthfeel. The mouthfeel doesn’t disappoint; it’s oily and dense. The buttery cooked agave is the star of the show while the vegetal peppers present itself as a slightly roasted jalapeño and the minerality is simultaneously present. There is some natural sweetness from the cooked agave that appears just before the black pepper finish. Overall this is an excellent blanco that speaks to me and it packs a great punch while still being only 80 proof. Go get some!

NOM 1614 | On the nose I don’t get any agave but do pick up alcohol, parmesan, lime citrus and pepper. Subtle sweetness, herbal and agave flavor, lingering finish

NOM 1614 | First Batch of Blanco #7 out of TTap NOM 1614 Nose: Bright and crisp aromas of citrus oils, fresh spearmint, lime, tart apple and green pineapple. Softer notes of cooked agave, thyme, cinnamon, and mild white pepper. A hint of sweet sulfur - perhaps from the Navachi spring water that Cazcanes hauls in extraction and fermentation. Flavors: Sweet and silky with a tiny kick of pepper heat and medium salinity - and an almond/vanilla undercurrent. Great textural feel. Subtle, round and pleasing profile. The agave is given room to flex and shine. Finish is gentle and balanced. A slow fade out…

NOM 1614 | Warm cooked agave notes, cinnamon, slight natural vanilla. Cinnamon taste and a nice minty finish. Feels like a cleaner tequila compared to the 1599 version.

NOM 1599 | Mint/cinnamon aromas with a touch of fusel oils. Taste is herbal, “barnyard” and slight lactic.

NOM 1599 | On the nose, agave and citrus. Pepper. Cinnamon, slight minerality and salinity. On the palate, a sweet cherry like note, agave and cinnamon. A touch of butter. Citrus. Overall, I enjoy this much more than the still strength. The bitterness is toned down, it’s less vegetal and doesn’t punch like it’s 54% counterpart. Still overpriced at $68, but it’s fine. I can’t say I’d recommend this.

Very nice Blanco. Citrus, wet earth, agave and melon on the palate. Finish gives white pepper and agave.

NOM 1614 | Extremely smooth with a creamy finish (meaning no burn at all). Agave forward with mineral and black pepper notes. Maybe a little mint.

NOM 1614 | Aroma - well I heard the description “tires” before I tried it and yeah it smells like rubber. I guess agave and “mineral “ is the technical way to say it. Flavor - WOW did not expect this after that aroma. This is great stuff. Gonna have to sip on this one a while and update the review. There seem to be so many flavors I can’t pull them out. As good as this tastes, it is very pricey in my area. Between 50-100% more expensive than the “premium“ blanco I usually keep on hand.
