Aroma is an interesting combination of floral notes with wet stone and earth. Flavor is surprisingly one-note. Not much heat, not much agave, not much of anything. Short finish. 2023-12-23

Review for 35% MX Version A brand from NOM 1500 that is looking forward to making a statement with their process and launching a Blanco Rosa. Please see below our tasting review: Aroma: A sweet fruity and floral entrance that is covered with contrasting layers between dried red fruits and citrus notes. It does possess nuances of raw agave and vegetal/herbaceous aromas that are distinctly from the Valley region. It’s a profile that is perceived as feminine due to its visual characteristic and expression complexity. Notes: raw agave, grass, grapes, dried cherries, citrus, floral nuances, white pepper, and minerals. Flavors: As you dive in, the aromas perceived before are maintained, but exemplified once you taste it. For this review, this product was tasted at 35% (Mexican version), so notes were dulled a bit. Would like to revisit the US version in the near future. The raw agave sweetness remains, but gets accompanied by some grass/fruity notes that are short and followed by a citric layer of orange peel. Its profile is very enjoyable and easy to sip during a night among family and friends. It has a long finish and leaves a slight anise and white pepper presence along with a metallic end (mostly obtained from either the water source or use of stainless steel tanks). The end is short and tannic (dry), a sensation I mostly enjoy in wine, but pleasant in this profile. Notes: raw agave, grass, fruity, grapes, berries, citrus, anise, herbal notes, metallic, briny, astringent. This tequila is an easy sipper with medium complexity and for people that are open to trying new profiles developed along with wine industry factors. It can also be versatile for mixology. Best thing is you can get this bottle for $25!

This is interesting, loads of fruit from the wine and some slight acidic/tannic notes on the finish that become a bit more intense after a few minutes. This otherwise is very neutral in it's ethanol presentation with not one specific tongue area afffected so very easy to sip.

This blanco has just a hint of pink color in the bottle and glass. Apparently it was rested in a used red wine barrel before bottling. Nice oily legs in the glass. Aroma of cooked agave and grass. The short time with the red wine didn't impact the aroma. Flavor of agave with a medium finish.
