I love Sergio and 1414 but this is not drinkable. Zero agave and a weird fruitiness. The website says additive free which can’t be accurate whatsoever. The bottle is cool with the light but for $130 this is a huge miss for 1414.

Gimmicky Cristalino, points for cool bottle and all with the gold flakes. At the end of the day it’s still a Cristalino.

Tasted a tiny amount at a party which reminded me of pina colada cotton candy. Hard to tell the NOM 1414 fingerprint. Need to revisit for aroma/flavor notes

La Santa Añejo Cristal 40% - 80 proof This Gourmet Añejo Cristal contains 24k gold flakes. It’s a Cristalino that was aged for at least 12 months in American and French oak barrels from NOM1414. It’s additive free, other than the added gold flakes, and it’s stated that the gold provides many health benefits. It also gives the tequila it’s pale copper color. - I smell some dark citrus, almonds and light cocoa on top of some thin honey. I taste immediate sweetness and then some cinnamon, caramel and slight oak tannins. The finish is very sweet, slightly peppery and easy. - The square bottle nicely frames the raised gold letters but it’s a party tequila because of the gold flakes, flashing LED lights and sweet flavor profile.

Añejo Cristal is one for the nightclub. Aged 30mo. then filtered for color, with edible 24k gold flake added back in. A bit fruity on the nose. Flavors of apple, caramel, and cinnamon. No agave. Kinda confusing why this is color filtered only to turn golden again with the addition of the 24k flakes. But hey—it’s a better nightclub option than the overpriced additive crap usually sold there!

35% ABV. It has gold sprinkles in the bottle. And a twinkle light to highlight the gold flecks. I could taste no discernible agave. It was bland and boring. And this has a price point of $1900 pesos. A rare miss from my friends at Vivanco.

Beside the gold flakes that makes it a hip spirits. You can barely taste cooked agave due to manipulated taste cause of additives. Too sweat for any trained palate. This might find a market share on the club scene where folks rather go for big bang galore than enjoy great tequila. It’s not the worst but its mediocre compare to most celebrity back tequila’s.

This is a smooth and very drinkable tequila, probably more for introducing novice tequila drinkers It has a light agave aroma but much less agave in the taste. The gold flecks and light a unique touch.
