As close to perfect as you’re going to find. Agave is present from start to finish, balanced finish, long vegetal after taste.

Light spearmint and sage on the nose, very refreshing. Flavors of sweet agave, pepper, mint, and anise. The high proof doesn’t overpower up front, instead it leaves a pleasant vibration on the sides of my tongue for a long while, like a tuning fork. Really nice HP.

Very clean, minerality aroma agave comes through after it sits for a short time…. Slightly vegetal or herbal…agave definitely comes through on the tongue… hints of black pepper has a bite with a licorice taste finish goes to a soft finish.

Lot 6 -Cooked agave, slight floral, and licorice aromas. Nice agave and peppery finish. As they say, the complexity and beauty of Tequila lies in its process. It shows with this higher proof.

Tahona - Lot6 Bottle 278 July 2020 - Big, bold, 100% agave experience. Excellent blanco. 10months resting in glass was well worth the wait! Bravo. Incredible value for the price.

Flavor keeps developing from cooked agave sweetness to peppered licorice, cinnamon. Some baked pineapple and fennel present. slight hint of citrus zest. Heat tingles on the tongue but allows flavor to come through. Excellent HP blanco. Top 3? Like finding a good hot sauce that provides balance of nice heat and sweetness, rather than one that just makes you sweat

Aroma : Lots of cooked agave and grassy, floral notes. Light fruits and baking spices are also present. Taste : Strong agave flavor with black pepper and more grassy notes. I also got some really nice, crisp licorice here as well. I don't even like licorice but it tastes so natural and clean here for some reason. Finish : Long and sweeter and than you might anticipate for a high proof. Very unique and clean tasting tequila, which is common for a high proof blanco like this one. Get a bottle of this whenever you can.

Lote #05 31/08/19. Tahona extraction. Nose: Vibrant minerals, balanced floral aromas, citrus zest, and rich agave fruitiness give this nosing a stellar start. There are herbal and vegetal notes - celery, freshly cut grass, dry straw. And that lovely funk. Cinnamon, nutmeg and star anise mingle in. Flavors: Finely ground black pepper, cinnamon and anise marry with the oily sweet agave. Some salinity, and there is an umami feel to the palate. This is round, balanced and displays no ethanol rowdiness. The finish brought a light smokey subtlety. Finish lasts forever. Well done.

Siembra Valles High Proof Blanco The nose is very pleasant. I detect green / vegetal agave and a light sweet floral / citrus note. I taste a vegetal agave, sweet corn and white pepper. The finish is sweet pepper but no alcohol burn. It’s very pleasant. I’m tempted to use it as a sipper and mixer.

This review is for Batch 5. This high proof, tahona-crushed juice has been rested in glass vessels for 5 months to let the flavors set up before bottling. This tequla has amazing depth. Its almost like its not using tequilana Weber azul (of course it is) because the flavor profile is off the chart. I had the pleasure of sipping this with the owner, David Suro at Cascahuin distillery in El Arenal. When it comes to sustainability and transparency, this is the benchmark. Wonderful juice with agave, pepper, herbs, asparagus and hay on the nose. Rich, deep minerality on rhe palate with agave forward flavor.

Nice oily agave filled tequila. Sweet agave front with slightly spicy black pepper finish.

Lots of agave on the nose. Also fruity and baked cinnamon, which is inviting. Rich cooked agave flavor that fades to a licorice finish. The higher proof brings a layer of complexity that dances on your palate. Interesting and highly recommended.

Great agave presence on the nose, in the mouth and during the finish. I think this is a bit softer on the palate than some other 46% ABV blancos but it doesn't detract in any way from the tasting experience.

Compared batch 09 LOTE 120 bottled on 180821, 47% abv. to batch 011 LOTE 366 bottled on 060623, 49.5% abv. Tasted on 10-6-23. Batch 09, points are for this batch: Aroma: sweet cooked agave! Intense spearmint, fresh & crisp, light acidity, resinous sweetness, herbaceous. Palate; confirms aromas perceived, spearmint is quite dominating to the point of masking some aromas & flavors. Finish is medium to long, fresh sweet cooked agave notes persist. After 30 minutes in the glass the spearmint softens and more agave sweetness emerges. Batch 011, 84 points: Different from batch 09 in that it is less minty & less expressive, feels more earthy and has a better balance.
