Nose: a little woody with a hit of alcohol, and nutty caramel. A little rougher around the edges than the blanco IMO. Yet decent for the price point.

40% ABV. Nice vegetal and citrus aroma along with an oaky caramel. Good biting pepper flavor that maintains a nice, consistent heat. Finish is medium long. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Just in packaging it appears to be competing with Cuervo but is much better. It doesn’t compete with top-tier reposados (7L, ET, Fortaleza, Suerte) but is a solid mid-tier sipper. 03-02-2018

Quite good for the money. Aroma of caramel and butter. Taste is basic but not offensive. Finish is slightly dry.

Paid $186 pesos for this in Sayulita. Since I have only the new square Centinela to compare this to it has to stand on it's own as a newer release. It does that and I would drink this before El Jimador.

Mexican 38% abv. version, marbete is from 2011, lote: LT-NCCR-03, bottled on 25-AGO-12, tasted on 1-4-24. Color: yellow. Aroma: cooked agave, buttery, banana, slightly earthy, after 20 minutes in the glass vanilla aroma emerges, wood note influence is quite noticeable. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, earthier on the palate, light black pepper, wood note is quite dominant on the palate, ends slightly astringent. Finish is medium to medium long, hint of cooked agave with hint of vanilla, buttery and quite intense wood influence persists.

Living in Mexico I am thankful that I can find this anywhere. It’s my go to daily that I can keep stocked for under $300 pesos a bottle. My guests are always pleased to get it as a pour or a bottle.

Caramel and agave , better than any I have tasted on this price range. At first I detect a slight funny taste, kind of chemical, however, I'm really surprised on this. The price is a bargain in Mexico. Realmente sorprendido, mucho mejor que los de los de su rango. Detecte un ligero sabor como quimico al principio, sin embargo lo puedo tomar solo y disfrutarlo, el retrogusto es ligero pero por este precio es bastante bueno.

A solid bargain tequila. Agave aroma, oak flavor with a touch of caramel. Ok finish. A bit less complex than the centinela square bottle reposado, but very drinkable.

Bought on sale for $20 on Cape Cod. Not a bad upgrade over Jose Cuervo gold, as it looks a lot like it. Decent taste, ok finish.

appears to be a knock off/competition for Cuervo tradicional. Decent drinking tequila, a little alcoholy/ medicinal to me, good agave flavor and a good value overall.
