Depends on what mood I'm in, but I prefer this sometimes to the Añejo.

Too vanilla

Smells like cake batter (vanilla and butter flavoring?) Strong vanilla flavor. Likely to use as mixer tequila as opposed to a "sipper". Great velvety finish.

Sweet vanilla

Had the worst fake vanilla flavor I’ve ever tasted in a tequila. It was so strong and overbearing, it was like they took the Blanco and just added vanilla extract to it. The ONLY saving grace was some subtle notes of pepper in the finish. Save your money, there are way better tequilas in this price range.

Fake all the way . Way too strong on the fake additives of vanilla, caramel, oak, etc. Why ? I guess some people are so easily fooled by this cheap money grab , lol . Yo hombres , George & clan sold this brand out and it has already jumped distilleries.

Heavy notes and taste of vanilla. Overpriced. It did pair well with lighter meals such as a salad. I liken it to the Chardonnay of tequila.

Some odd aromas and flavors. Almost as if it was autoclave? Lots of vanilla, oak and butter. Both in aroma and taste. The finish is long but almost a artificial sweetener.

Agave, some notes of being aged- vanilla- but not overly present. Still a decent burn to this guy.

initial cooked agave, oaky taste with a caramel roundness finishes with a strong vanilla and slight spice that lingers

Sipped on this at a party. Let me say, I have never had a tequila burn so much going down. It was very unpleasant and the flavor very medicinal. Definitely will not try or buy again.

Probably the best quality tequila at this price point

I have never noticed so much vanilla in a tequila before. This is delicious!

this tequila is super sweet. definitely agree that it's taste like cream soda!! if you want no burn, no agave taste, easy to drink this is your bottle. It honestly doesn't taste like tequila at all. I would recommend this for shots, chilled. I can't see it as a mixer since its so sweet it can overpower whatever it's mixed with. this is the sweetest tequila I have ever had. Vanilla Cream Soda

so easy to drink, a great sipper. very heavy on the vanilla and caramel flavors. little burn at all. I'm convinced they are adding flavors to the tequila, no way all that flavor came out of just a barrel. doesn't matter, it's very easy to drink and enjoy. for the price, I almost enjoy El Mayor just as much or even more for the price difference.

Mint, citrus and licorice, lacking on agave and overpriced

Vanilla is very strong on the palate, and gives an almost cream soda overtone to cocktails. Very smooth but very specific!

11 Things We Think We Know About Reposados

Until recently, we hadn’t cared much for reposado — tequila that has been aged in oak barrels from 2 to 12 months. It seems too middle-of-the-road: like blanco (no barrel aging) without the bite, añejo (aged for longer than a year) without the flavor. But
