This is not another pretty bottle (actually the bottle is beautiful) but the real gem is this aged expression of 3,4,&5 yr blend. Outstanding nose, sweet cooked agave and barrel notes. Great finish. It is pricey though

Amazing nose with awesome notes of caramel with some black pepper perfectly balanced with oak. On the pallet however is where it lost me a bit. Still a very tasty tequila, it was a bit over oaked for my liking. The agave notes are there but dominated by oak. If you like whiskey, you will love this one.

Oak, chocolate, earth, flowers, fruit... very nice, but a bit expensive. Amazing crystal bottle with this one!

Gotta admit, this might have more value as nostalgia than it does as a stand-alone but it’s a really nice tequila. I don’t get a lot of agave, it’s pretty uh been blended or aged out by this point. With that being said, it’s a lovely marriage of agave and oak, not too sweet, picks up this typical whisky notes and mellows them to make something unique. I recommend squirrelling a bottle away if you can.

Aroma: Another tequila with a unique aroma. It has notes of chocolate, caramel and an earthiness that I wouldn't expect in a XA. Flavor: There's a oak flavor upfront that dominates the flavor. Not as strong as the Fuenteseca or Tapatio Excelencia but still prevalent. Finish: A nice long lingering finish. It takes some time to work it's way to the back of your throat but coats your entire mouth in the process.

This one has an aroma unlike any other - mushroom and coffee along with just a little chocolate and black pepper. The texture is almost syrupy on the tongue and it has a nice bite of spice. The flavor rolls through multiple rounds - peppery spice, coffee/toffee, vanilla and cream. With all this going on it has a nice, gradual finish. For the price, it is obviously an indulgence but on a cool night by the fire this would be fantastic.

This is one seriously deep and complex tequila. Let it breathe for a while before diving in, and then explore the depths of this finely aged spirit.

High marks in everything except value. Amazing tequila but almost $600 a bottle for 700ml is steep.

An extremely luscious tequila. Relativity light on the nose. I'm getting candied orange, oak and black pepper, but not much else. The taste is a real showstopper though. Cedar, dark chocolate, liquorice, mint, and a touch of cooked agave. The finish is long and bittersweet. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous, but it comes with a hefty price tag (at least in Canada) and knocks the score back a good deal.

This kept calling my name and it finally won out. I didn’t with the taste tho. I got a ton of alcohol taste up front with some oak and pepper in the back end and finishes smooth. For the price it is completely overpriced and overvalued. I can buy 8 bottles of Cascahuin Tahona for that money. It was a once in a lifetime taste and now will just keep the bottle.

I was first introduced to this tequila some time ago. Stopped at the Tequila bar at the Agave Grill in PV. I was trying to find something I had never tried before and this bottle caught my eye. A generous pour as the bartender said "A very good choice, Senior!" I had no idea a shot was going to cost me $35, and this was back some time. Great nose with plenty of agave and spice. Was not prepared for the finish that was more like a high proof blanco than an XA. Caramel and butterscotch. Heat on first sip that fades with the second. At thwis point in my Tequila education, it was the most expensive I had ever tasted. I couldn't afford it at the time, but it did send me down a path that has no end but many delicious branches.

Strong aroma of cooked agave with a compliment of oak. The color would indicate more depth but its flavor is simple and smooth. Compared to other NOM’s from this distillery it’s smoothness is comparable but complexity is lacking. It’s enjoyable but other tequila from the NOM are superior

It’s like they didn’t try too hard. And blended a really smooth nice finishing glass of tequila. I’m surprised and happy. Wish I had two bottles.
